Technical Assistance

Question to all. I just got a new motor for my drift car. it's a 15T motor. My ESC is a Keyance exstraight that's suppose to support all motors. I soldered my connectors on my motor, hooked it up, and it doesn't work. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss a step so my questions are as follows: 1) Did I miss a step? 2) Is there a way to test this motor to see if it's defective or not? I checked my soldering job with a multimeter and that's fine. There's also continuity between the two connector points so the internal side of the motor is still wired ok. But when I go to hook it up to the ESC, turn it on and try to run it, it just sits there.
Ideas?

Run the leads from the motor to you battery directly and see if it runs. Put your voltmeter on the motor leads from the speedo with the batteries in turn everything on and see if you have voltage from the speedo.
