Default Is GA off-road R/C Racing Dead?

Hey, got out of off-road racing about 9 yrs ago. The Atlanta scene was hopping back then with Rodslingers, Loganville, VRP, and HCRCR. Looking to get back into it and I canít find any signs of activity. Even the websites for Loganville and HCRCR are years out of date.

Can anybody tell me what happened??

Loganville not dead, very active, just changed management, went to FB: https://www.facebook.com/LoganvilleRCComplex/

HCRCR is still there, limited activity.

Several others have come and gone since then. Many reasons....

It certainly seems like there aren't many places left. I'm in Marietta and thinking of getting started but the only place on this side of town seems to be Sweetwater Raceway. I know they're active, but their listed phone doesn't work and I haven't been able to find a forum or facebook group for them - just the business FB page.

Here is the link for Sweetwater. Shon is always up for helping someone get started.

I just went out to Loganville this past weekend for an "under the lights" race. It started at 5:30 and was done at around 11 pm. There were 8 Heats, and i think 6 mains (people left before the mains). It was a good time, Mark Moon owns it now, and I did see some of the old regulars. I also got out around 4 years ago and just moved back to find that the activity has died down a little. E-Buggy is still dominating but I ran Nitro Buggy and we had 14 entries i believe.

If you remember the Stickman RC Crew, I'm Joel's son Colton.
