The race this weekend is postponed at the FORT. We have not made it to the track yet to determine the damage. Also, the property is being used as a staging area for the electric company.

Tony. Has Ft Myers got power back on? If you happen to hear about the Port Charlotte/Northport area coming on line would you send me a PM? My Mother is in Northport. I heard from her yesterday that she was back home with no damage but had no electricity. Haven't heard anything yet today though. Hope you and family managed OK.

Sorry I have not checked this site in a few days. On the West coast, they say all power will be restored by Friday. In the Fort Myers area it is hit of miss. My parents in Fort Myers just got power back last night, a week after the storm. I know the East Coast is having problems also. They had lots of rain since they were on that side of the Hurricane.

Thanks Tony. As it turned out my Mother was back home last Monday with no damage except for a newly planted shrub. her power was back on Tuesday.

Give my best to your folks. It has been a real long time since I've seen them. Talladega in 86 I believe.

The track will be open to run in the new asphalt on Sunday October 15. No damage to the asphalt during the hurricane
