Don't worry as a carpet series might not happen as 386 does not want to participate
I'm sure each track can create there own points race

Red RC ? RC Car News California Touring Series Rd3 ? Report

200 Entries!....WTF are we doing wrong? Don't tell me cost. I lived in California and it is by far a more expensive cost of living that FL can dream of. I think the last percentage difference to maintain the same cost of living was nearly 50% more in CA than FL.

Funny you mentioned the cts .. I was talking to a few of my buddies out there over the weekend (most were prepping for the Reedy Race) and they just want it more. No BS extra classes to go slower etc, just guys and gals wanting to compete with the best they have to offer. Local tracks also don't compete with one another as often as it happens here in FL.
One of my buddies is a solid A 17.5 guy at the reedy race last 2 years and he also decided to run mod last weekend just to get more track time and made the C main! Imagine that, having to try to make an A main lol

While I do believe that there are some favorable, positive factors that really help the CTS entry counts such as the amount of influence the direct Factory's involvement and Factory Team attendance brings their series, Mr. Vera brings some valid points to light. Though the CTS does have two slower classes, F1 and USGT, maybe limiting our own series (whatever that may turnout to be), to just 2 touring classes only, 17.5 and mod may possibly help growth or if nothing else at least increase the difficulty level in each class to make the A-Main.

Grow the 2 primary classes first, then branch off into other classes if, and only if, there is REAL support for additional classes.

FL has maybe 40-50 electric TC racers for starters. I skimmed through CTS forum yesterday and the first thing I noticed the in-fighting was nonexistent, the second their thread is located in the Main Forum while ours located in the sub forums.

Once George gets the series specifics done there is nothing keeping him from posting it on the main forum

I don't mean to just jump in the middle of this, but shouldn't a "Touring Championship" be just touring cars?

If you want to add more classes then maybe add a low cost class that is easy for newbies to jump into. <$300 for a total setup ready to drop on the track.

you have to take inconsideration that the Tamiya track is rarely open to run other brand cars other than Tamiya.
