What is a good fdr for17.5 tc? Do not be to conservative I have a good fan and a light throttle finger. Is the fracked prepped and if so with what. In essence how is the traction?

Asphalt blown off with the bigest back-pack blower that Stihl makes, takes 40 - 45 minutes, then the PVC track goes down. Then it gets sprayed with 6 gallons water, 4 liters of soda, 5 pounds of sugar mix. Its sealed so get the most grip that your set-up allows. Most are using 36 hardness tires. It doesn't like oil based traction compounds. Practice opens 9 - 930, racing 11 - 1130 most of the time we agree on 2 quallies and mains. Gotta be ROAR, no open toed shoes. Yes I have ROAR forms. 3.70 - 3.80 FDR.

I will be there for 17.5 TC. I have a roar membership. Is SXT an oil based traction compound? If yes, what do u suggest? I would also run 21.5 TC if anyone was interested.

Most use brake cleaner, or simple green, or nothing and just take two good warm up laps. We have no one running 21.5 at this time but I would love to see what the speed of one looks like. I am as the promoter looking for a class to recommend for beginners and 2 WD SC just is not working out, the adults refuse to follow the rules that I laid down verbally when we started this track. Be safe see you in the AM.

I am avg. Joe and I like 21.5 best as I can concentrate on my driving lines better. I break less parts than with my 17.5. They are fast enough.
I will bring my simple green and brake cleaner. See you soon, now off to installing my 17.5 motor.

LCRCR Race #18 Results
Awesome day of racing, we enjoyed the company of a fellow racer that drove up from Miami and did very well for his first time out at our track. The weather was great until pick-up time, then it seemed to get way hot. I must go look at dates of 3 different series in the state before we decide our next race date. Nitro onroad, electric onroad, and an offroad series. Here are the results, mains have laps shown just scroll down a bit.

Had a good day of racing thank you to Jim, Chuck, and Martin for all of their hard work setting up the track so we can race. Corey and I really enjoy racing in ft myers it is an excellent track and everyone is fun to race with. Jim Sowa was amazing in his main win over Joe and Chuck, how impresive. Thanks again guys see you next time.

I had a great time at the race. Thanks to the guys who helped me get up to speed.
For those that live within a two Hr. Drive and want to get away once in a while this is a good option.aka Pak Lee etc.....
Just to let everyone know the Shortcourse class was fun to watch. I saw so many variations of tires being used effectively. One can take old off road tires and dremel them and make your own slicks.... Some even used the ready to run tires from Traxxas. Hence, if you have a short course truck and want to have fun...go for it..... The guys here are so helpful...so do not be shy...
The time between races was a perfect blend of having an adequate amount of time to work on cars, yet have a program that keeps moving......so it's not a long long day at the track.
Well maybe I will see some of you at the Village rc raceway soon.... Next week is a club race and mid October is a state race. I think one can go either 2 days or just show up on Sunday.....Please verify this if anyone is planning on attending.
Anyways....I had a blast and anyone reading this that has not tried this track ......give it a try....
