What a good day racing the rain came after the last race the 1/8 scale race was one to see Russ S took the win 7 cars action all over the track.

Great racing this past saturday.
Henry Mena stills hold the lead in the Southland Modified points series
Ron Lewis was on a roll winning the classic, bomber , sports men and mod classes. wow a foursome
Russ Smith finally got his nitro running and won the 1/8th scale class. seven 8th scalers duked it out for some great racing
Russ also took home the 1/10th sprint main.
Got all our races in and right before the the rain came down.
Finished just in time
Thanks to Harold and Skyler for prepping the track.
Great job you gus. Didnt hear anybody complaining about tire wear.
The track was grooved up awesome all day long.
We will not be racing on Aug 8th. But we will be back on the15th for
the Southland Modified Points series.

Man Im ready for some great Southland Speedway Dirt oval action.
Race # 5 of the Modified point series this saturday. Only one point between first and second. Third place is only 4 points behind the leader.
Henry Mena is in the lead and Im trailing behind him one point back.
Joey has come out of retirement and is in third.
Im sure the track will be awesome as always.
Plenty of grip with little tire wear.
Just good ol dirt track racing.

Another day of great racing at the World Famous Southland Speedway
Henry Mena kicked but in the 13.5 Southland Speedster class.
Jonathan Huttin was hooked up in the 1/8 Latemodel.
Joey Gonzales took home the Sportsmen and the Southland Modified feature.
I got lucky and snuck in a bomber win.
4 new novices had a ball. Said they will be back soon.
Carlos said he wants to build a Modified. getting his tires this week.
Will have a body in 2 weeks.
All in all a awesome day of racing.
Track was fast rigth off the bat with plenty of bite.
Stared out with a groove and got better all day long.
Thanks to Henry and Unc Mike for covering for me in the first half.
Weather held out till the end of the day.

Can anyone comment on what kind of chassis is popular for 1/10 sprint there. I see Custom Works makes the Outlaw 3, and Enforcer 6 DD, any experience with these kits, or possibly another mfg suggestions welcomed. Or is this even a popular class there?

A little rain couldn't stop the Southland racers.

The Modified series was a nail biter to the end. Terrific action
Daddy-O won the series with a second place win in the main 75 lapper.
Joey won the main but ended up 2nd in the series and Henry ended up 3rd in the series.
Cash pay out for the top 3 finishers!
Had great racing in all classes but the Southland Modified Series ending race was the one with the most exciting action.
Can't wait till next week!
