301 Raceway & Hobby
#1

Like the title states, this thread is for the new indoor racing facility coming to Wildwood, FL.
Description:
301 Raceway & Hobby is a new indoor electric offroad racing facility that is coming to the Central Florida area..
Nelson Marsh: The Track Owner, had a very successful outdoor track in Chicagoland, IL for approximately 10 years, as well as aiding other tracks in the area with track changes and Maintenance.
Jim Andersen: Head Track Official, aside from racing all of his life, also has lent a hand over the years with many track builds, maintenance to buildings, and building in general.
Both have a love for the hobby that has been brought together to bring everyone an additional indoor racing facility in Central Florida.
Our Goal: To work with, aide, and assist every track, racer, and hobbyist in growing the hobby we all love in Florida. It is no surprise that over the last years with the decline of our nations economy, that the hobby we all know and love has felt it pretty hard. We know times are still tough, and we know that everyone works harder these days for the things they enjoy.
Location: We feel the location was the biggest aspect when looking for the building, and land. We wanted something central, but not right on top of another track to hinder their growth.
The track location:
3400 NE 37 PL.
Wildwood, FL 34785
The Facility: The facility is a large Building, that looks to have been built for distribution of some sort. On one side wall there are several large roller doors, as well as on either end of the track. Mens and womens restrooms which are both handicapped accessible. This all comes together on roughly 2.5-3 acres of land, with a nicely paved parking area.
What you can expect: We will hold as many race days as everyone wants, we think our prices are fair, our programs will be greatly run, and the atmosphere will be that of which makes you want to keep coming. We are looking at being open 6 days a week to start, with full race programs on Wednesday night, and Saturday afternoon.
As of right now, we are looking at the schedule of current events planned, and working around them to decide what would be a great weekend for our official grand opening race.
This is going to be the official thread. Starting next week I will be including more information such as pricing, hours of operation, pictures of construction, and so fourth. Below is also a link to our Facebook page.

Tony, that was one of the things when we got together we all agreed on, was the later times for both being open, as well as races. While Wednesday nights will not be midnight start times, they will be easily accessible for 90% of the racing community that works during the weekdays.

Guys/gals in case you aren't following us on facebook we made an announcement last night.
We reached 100 likes before one full day of the page being up so to reward the racers we decided that the first day we are open to the public will be a 100% free practice day for anyone that wants to attend!
Remember we are an indoor electric offroad facility.
Stay tuned for the date to come!
