Default ***Quaker Steak & Lube On-Road Racing***

This Saturday March 8th is the beginning of our On-Road racing program at the lube in addition to our popular Monday night Oval Program. Racing will be on the North side of the building near the outside bar, The track will be open for practice by 9 a.m. and racing will begin at 10 a.m. there is power available but it is limited so generators are ok if you think you may need one, trailers are ok as well. The restaurant will be open early for drinks with food available around 11 a.m. In depth information is posted at Phil's Hobby shop in Pinellas Park, B&B hobbies in Hudson, and Archie's hobbies in Pinellas Park. Also feel free to stop by this Monday night with any questions. We hope to see everyone out there this Saturday to kick off what should be a great new addition to our program. We will be racing On-Road on the Second Saturday of each month (once a month). AMB timing will be used so if you want to be scored you must have a personal transponder. Please see class listing and rules attached *All classes are based on the minimum 3 entries, if the minimum is not reached we will do our best to combine classes evenly if needed.

I posted a video on Youtube that has my practice laps from Saturday, but the RC Tech gods wont allow me to share it. My username is also "flamingtire" on youtube, so you can dig up the link and share it from there.

Just being curious. Is there a reason you all are running backwards?

I never knew on-road tracks had a particular direction...

How do you determine what direction to run?

I'm just confused how you even determine "what direction is which direction"... Its not an oval and its all relative to the driver stand correct? Is Sonoma's road-course backwards or Laguna Seca's road course backwards? Sonoma has more rights, and Laguna more lefts...

technically we were running counter clockwise so it was the same as if it were running on an oval.. hope everyone had fun, I know I did! and that's what matters!

Well besides snowbirds most onroad is ran clockwise. I wasn't trying to cause an issue I was just curious. Place looks fun. Might have to check it out. As far as why it's normally ran that way is so on a high speed sweeper the battery is on the inside
