East Coast versus West Coast All Star RC race. We need to bring out our big guns for this one. Turtles like me need to enhance their blocking skills quickly.

All West Coast racers are required to park at the basketball court two blocks away.......

Where do you guys race in between "race dates?"

I see usually once a month here at Village Rceway but are there any other race tracks around in the mean time? Or are you guys also off road also?

I am looking to get into racing and really like on road, and well living 5 miles from the track is awesome, but I would like more options than once a month.

Can you practice these cars on the road or will it chew them up?

If you can come out tomorrow and speak with me. Richard Johnston. You have many options...it just depends how far you want to travel. It is best to get sound advice so you do not have to buy twice....hence saving a lot of money.....

Great racing, great weather, great traction, great people, good times. Thank you to everyone that came to the race today. A special thanks to the crew that made the trip from Ft. Myers. We hope everyone had a good time. We'll do it all again next month (6/4/2017).

I am sorry to convey that Team West Coast aka Fort Myers crew won the competition over the East Coast guys. They took first in 17.5 and swept the first three positions in 21.5. TC. I will have to take medication to cope with this. Next time we will need Cooper and Baptiste to run 17.5, and George to run 21.5 TC.

FYI I Participated at a race in Fort Myers/Sun Sports Plaza track. I encourage others to race there when time permits.

Kudos to Louis Perez for contributing the blowers to the track.

Thanks to Johnny Q, David Baptiste, and the others that helped run a great race program.

I big thanks to Johnny Q, David and JT for their time in putting on a really fun Race. Third time in a row and all three were a blast. Great facility and racers. Another big thanks to Louie for donating blowers to the track, greatly appreciated. All of it makes the trip from Fort Myers worth it.

I drove up Sunday and watched a couple hours of the race. I was impressed with the track and seriously thinking about getting a car. I would be racing in the 21.5 Amateur Touring Class. I know very little about cars though. I have been in R/C Aircraft (electric, nitro & gas) for to many years to list.

I have looked at getting an Associated TC4 or TC7.1 I am also open for other brands if it would be a better choice at my entry level?

I have looked at the list of Roar approved motors, esc, etc. I am having trouble finding the approved ones that are for sale.

Is there anyway someone could give me a couple choices in each category that would help me make the purchase fairly simple?

Thanks,

Ed

I recommend getting a car that every body is running for 2 reasons
1. if you break somebody has the part to get you pack on the track
2. if your running same car. it would be easy to get set up help.
hobbywing just stock speedo. $50.00

check with racers. lot of guys have used stuff that works.
i have chargers, radio, and motors. for sell

+1 on what Johnny Q said..... Make sure to get the program box with the ESC......It is 10 bucks....

Johnny Q will have good motors at a fraction of the price of a new one....

Myself and a friend are running older Xray cars. We feel that they are extremely durable and very competitive. A couple of guys are running ARC cars. They are quite good too.

I would definitely get in touch with Johnny Q....

Hey everyone... quick question- How many heats and mains do you run on a race day? Is there electricity for charging? I do plan on making the June Club Race, looking forward to it! Hopefully I won't crash too much... Thanks!
