Round 1
I wanted to say thanks to Joe Langston, the GHR Race Crew, and JConcepts for a great event! Austin and I had a blast racing yesterday! It was nice to meet some fellow racers that we hadn't met before. I wish mother nature would have been a little more cooperative for the mains.... I really wanted my shot to bump up and see if I could hang with the young guns in 17.5 buggy! See you all at RRW for Round 2

Brittney and I had a great time this weekend for the JConcepts Summer Tour. Thanks for all the hard work that was put into the track to make it ready for Saturday! Even though it rained, it was worth the trip. I look forward to coming back to race with you guys again one day! Thanks again for everything!

Next closest track will be River Rat RC Track who will be opening an offroad track soon
and already have a strong dirt oval following.
Florida RC Outlet has also announced that they will be building an indoor carpet onroad track in the office space next door.

I went to Green Cove Springs today to pick up some stuff for our track. I needed a bigger trailer.
Mr. Langston gave us piping for lane separation, spikes to keep the piping in place, P.A. system with outdoor speakers and a 4' roller that was practically brand new. That's all I had room for. Had I had more trailers we could have had office desk and chairs, pre-cut post, clay and a semi trailer drivers stand.
That is the good news for Newberry RC Park, the sad news is all this came about because Mr. Langston's track had to close.
The moral of this is not, "one man's loss is another man's gain". No, the moral here is that Mr. Langston embodies the kind of character that you find throughout this RC community, "instead of being down and out he is helping to keep the hobby going".
Mr. Langston, Go Hard Raceway may be no more but it's spirit and your generosity will shine in Newberry. I thank you and I hope I can pay it forward as you have sir.

I posted on both threads because it's the only way I can thank Mr. Langston properly.
