JAX all the way!
There are no other tracks to compete with and a lot of hungry racers w/ NO PLACE TO RUN.
I'd be happy to make the drive from GA. and I'd bet others from the Savannah area would as well.

Give the Jacksonville NE FL area a good look. We have a ton of racers who would love carpet (touring, oval and 1/12) in this area. There's no competition for Sat come warmer weather either since the outdoor local track races Fri night from mid spring to mid autum. We've had two carpet tracks that didn't survive but not for lack of support. One lost it's space at a church and the other was a hobby shop that switched locations and remained closed for too long during the transition to recover. And you could rely on out of towners in this location, the track at the church got 1/3-1/2 of it's racers from GA every time! And inexpensive space could probably be found at the decomissioned Naval Air Station Cecil Field now Cecil Commerce Center.

I've yet to buy a car that wasn't race ready out of the box.

There use to be an indoor carpet on-road track in Tampa, just down the street from the old Thunder Raceway. Don't recall the couples name that ran it, but they did a great job from the get go. Must have gotten at least 50+ racers from the day they first opened the doors. Problem was that the building that they put their business in, was an old dairy distributor. Turns out that the coolers had lead pipes or some other environmental issue, and the building was condemned. The landlord wasn't going to dump money into correcting the problem and neither was the track owner. I believe it was called Extreme RC or something similar.
At any rate, the business was there, just didn't work out for them. Tampa or Orlando seem to make the most sense. Wherever you choose. working with the other tracks would definitely be wise. It's too thin a market to have to compete, unless your venue is so much better then the rest.

Dave,
You could win with anything, you're just that good.

Not true. Its just that the cars designed for racing come ready to race. Now if I can just get some of that horsepower you run I'll be set.
