I have heard a rumor about this track reopening again. Has anyone heard this?

Well I guess I better fill everyone in.

Yes we are going to be re-opening the Port Charlotte track. It is under going a face lift. The track is being changed to handle 1/10th Nitro and Electric events. It will be around 130 to 140 feet in length and 75 to 80 width. The drivers stand is being refurbished. We put on 4 new tires and rims, paint and top deck.

The track is being sealed on March 31st. Then we hope to be laying down the PVC pipe.

Here are a few pics with the walls taken down.

I will keep updating this thread when we have news and progress reports.

First race date coming soon!

Track borders will be 2" white PVC, some plow discs, some white flexable water hose like used at royal palm track. It makes really nice radius corners.

This is great news!!
I wonder if this is good enough news to bring some of those great drivers that "retired" recently?
Can't wait.

Dave- is this going to be big enough for 1/8 scales and would it be used as an additional track to the FORGASS series?
