Im coming to Florida on vaction and i was wondering if there is any good hobby shops near or in Clermont.

None in Clermont. You have to go east on SR 50 into Orlando to get to the closest one, Central Florida Hobbies. It's at the corner of Kirkman Road and SR 50 (West Colonial Blvd). They have a lot of nitro on-road and off-road stuff.

Not much around this part of central Florida.

There is also Graves r/c in Orlando about 15 or 20 miles outside of Clermont.

Im into electric tc, 1/8th electric buggy, some 10th scale offroad as well.

It's nice to go to places with positive feedback from local guys, instead of going and being dissapointed by selection at some stores.

Go to Hobby Magic in Orlando. It's on South St. Give them a call before you get here. I'm sure they can get you taken care of.

Jason, not sure how far you want to drive, but here's a list of the ones I know in and around Orlando:

Central Florida Hobbies - W SR 50, Orlando
Colonial Photo and Hobby - Mills Ave, downtown Orlando
Graves R/C - Lee Road and Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando
Bob's Hobby Center - Goldenrod Rd, east Orlando
JR Hobbies - US 192, Kissimmee (near Medieval Times)
Hobbytown USA - off of I-4 up in Sanford

I've never heard of Hobby Magic. South Street, like in downtown near Church Street? What all do they carry?

I dont mind driving an hour or so! You guys have quite a few to choose from. Where i live we have 4 or 5, but only a few that are good to deal with.

I recommend Superior Hobbies in Casselberry. There store is awesome and the guys there are really cool and will help you out. I'm there like every week lol.

Talk to Andy, he races a Kyosho Inferno and he races at Way Out West Raceway in Clermont, he's a nice guy too.

DUH. Boy, I feel like a dork...LOL...somehow, I *totally* forgot Superior on my list.

Yeah, Jason...LOL...Superior's pretty decent. They got quite a bit of everything there, probably the biggest selection in the area. They're located way over in Casselberry; from Clermont, you'd take 50 over to I-4 east, up to SR 436, then east on 436. They're in a plaza with a Harbor Freight and a buncha other stores and restaurants. Not sure when you'll be in Florida, but Superior'll have some on-road action coming up here soon, I believe.

Superior has on road racing in the parking lot today. Yesterday they had oval racing. There's gonna be a short course class that I hope to participate in.

Definitely go to Superior, I guarantee you'll walk out of there with a bag full of stuff, it's like Toys R Us for r/c guys.

Oh and they're having a Labor Day Weekend sale on all stuff.
