The new track layout turned out awesome!!! It flows great with Sweeping turns, a table top and a couple of triples.

We didn't get any rain today but probably get some tonight. Forecast is no rain Friday or Saturday. It will be a awesome weekend for racing.

Round # 1 now in the books. After Thursdays rain the track was very soft. We worked all day Friday to dry the track but came up short on time and had to take two lanes out of the layout. But we forgot to change the short lap setting in the timing system causing a problem in 1/8 buggy quals. We re-ran round 2 of buggy quals. After three/four rounds of qualifying the soft clay was very bumpy and the jumps were unpredictable. But the bumpy track was no match for the 1/8 scale suspensions. Everyone made adjustments and the racing was very competitive. In 1/8 buggy Johnny Sanchez took TQ and the win with Johnny Grenot in second and Chris Swauger in third. In 1/8 truck Jay Grenot had his Losi on rails for the TQ and the win with Tony Rivas in second and Jon Renshaw in third. It was fun to see 9 of 12 buggies and 11 of 12 trucks finish the 20 minute main. The new format of seating 9 with 3 bump spots for a 12 car main was a success. There was plenty of space on the drivers stand, pit lane and on the track. Thanks everyone for racing at Outacontrol Raceway. As you look at the results you will see a group of racers that turn marshaled and raced in a professional manor making the race program run successfully.

Hi Tony, The track is open for practice Wednesday and Sundays. Lately the track has been to wet to run on. I hope the weather will get better soon. When the weather gets better I will post practice times on our message board. We will be working on the track tomorrow (Wednesday) to get ready for this weekend. The track should be in good shape for practice this Sunday.

Hi Chris, The weather forecast is calling for rain Friday afternoon. If it rains we will be working on the track to get it ready for Saturday. If it doesn't rain we can let you practice for a couple of hours. I will know more tomorrow. I will post a update tomorrow morning.

Thanks
Andy

Thumbs up

For SCK round 1, are we racing on the normal track or is there going to be a new 1/10 track?

It just started raining around 3:00. I got a load of dry clay today. We will be working as soon as the rain passes. We are only suppose to get 1/2" of rain. We will be racing tomorrow.

Round # 2 ( 2/6/10 ) date change to Sunday ( 2/7/10 ).

Too much rain to get the track ready. We will work on it all day Saturday. Racing starts Sunday 10:00am sharp so we can get home by Super Bowl kick off.

Thanks,
Andy

Thanks,
