ZRCMAN, It was good to see you out there Saturday.
I really liked your nitro sprint car. It would be pretty cool if we could get a class for them.
In the mean time, please bring out some of your other cars(you sure have enough to choose from) and join us. We look forward to "mixing it up with you"
It was a pleasure to meet Mary as well.

The hard pack soil stableizer worked well. Now we just need to determine what tires to run.
I can tell you that the on road tires that I tried in the second heat on my limited late model did NOT work. Went back to the hole shots and worked much better.
Dan is going to look into something to get the track to have a little more bite. Maybe sugar water or something.

1/8 scale Late Model Class was a blast.
Dave, do you remember the little ditty about wanting my baby back ribs back?
Well, I want the Hoakie trophy back, I want the trophy back, trophy back, trophy back, trophy back!
You had better come prepared for a battle next week. I thing Dan wants some of that action too.

All kiding aside, you did a great job in that race and won it fair and square, even though my Niece was running the computer!!

Default Now we are racing on a fast track!!

I only got one & 1/2 cars to work, but that's the fun of it. You know what they say.... you gotta be in it to win it. I'm glad we got the main in before it got dark...The best part was we were both in the lead lap. I would have hated to win that Hokie Trophy it in the 2nd heat. It looks real nice at my place.

The new track surface was incredible this weekend. Your hard work paid off. For anybody thinking about coming out to South County Park on Saturdays, the track is great and it's a great atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and helpful, especially in the pits. You have the most experenced racers to the kids in the novice classes interacting and competing in exciting races. Yes the So. Fl Dirt Oval RC Club is kid friendly. I only started racing about 2 months ago and I took Hokie home. If I can do it, you can get your name on the Hokie Trophy also! At the end of the day everyone is a Weener. (I mean winner).

Thanks Dan and Mike for talking me into this Hobby.

Hotcakes The rules are still in the works. I know you are allowed to change the esc to brushless, no lipos. You are allowed to run up to a 4600 nimh stick battery max no matched cells. Tires are optional right now every thing else is to remain stock. Glad you came by hope you get a chance to race with us.
Racing was great saturday thanks to all that showed up. We couldnt ask for better weather. I can hardley wait to see the traxxas slash class get out on the track and race. I got the oppertunity to run a few laps with one and what a hoot. So if you got a slash bring it out sat.
Thanks again to all the racers. Dan

What are the rules for the Slash class? Bone Stock? Lipos? Brushless? I know some people have swapped out the receiver for their own equipment. And i've read that some bone stock classes allow experimentation with shock oil and dif lube.

Hope to be there saturday, G/F was sick this weekend.

Slash class rules ; Vehicle must remain stock out of the box. You can change shock fluid. You can change shock caps to the traxxas aluminum shock caps. Electronics must remain stock esc, servos.reciever and transmitter.3600 nimh six cell stick pack battery non matched factory sealed only. If it didnt come in the box with the truck you cant run it. This is a spec class and its gonna be a blast.Anybody can go to their local hobbyshop get the truck and battery and be competitive from the start and thats how you get new racers to begin is this great hobby. Thanks Dan

Default BLINDFOLD RACE

Nice Job, Dirtbanchee, on posting the results.

We are planning a special race for next Saturday, the 22nd.

It will be a blindfold race!!! Yes a blindfold race.
The deal is that the driver is blindfolded and has a coach/spotter to tell him/her where to go. Sounds crazy??
-Any electric car 1/18 scale up to huge E-Maxx.
-Race will be 10 laps or 5 minutes max.
-We will have blindfolds but you are encouraged to BYOB, bring your own blindfold. Blindfolds will go through tech, by our El-Presidente, Dan
-The race will be after the completion of the second set of heat races.
-We will be hand counting the laps, so we are not limited to 10 racers, could be 20???. Crazy!!! Cash Prize!!!
-If you don't race you will be expected to help us with turn marshalling, so you may as well partner up with someone and race away. Could be your lucky day, even though we don't expect luck to have anything to do with it.
-The entry fee will be $ 5.00 per team.
-THE WINNER GETS $ 20.00 CASH AND A BLINDFOLD RACE TROPHY!

More details will be explained this Saturday at our regular racing.
We expect to have a full card of racing this week. We have some really good racers coming in from other local offroad track's that have the idea that they are gonna show us how it's done!!
There is a local hobby shop owner that has indicated that he would like to get his hands on our "Hoakie Trophy".
We ain't skerd of any of these taunts and threats.
Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if you can't make it this week, try next week and the Blindfold Race,
as you may have better luck!

This ad is provided by the Crazy Race Committee, and I approve this message. Uncle Mike

Wanted to let everyone know I had a great time racing last Sat. ! It was fun and thats what we need in this hobby. The track was large, high bite track, and even the noobs can get around it, kinda blows the theory that a hard clay track is not beginner friendly!
I think we shall see this track gaining in popularity, its fun, good people all around and no attitudes!

Default Blindfold Race

Yes, the track is pretty cool, but it's not mainly the track, It's the group of racers that frequent this place. We really have a great group of guy's and
Gal's racing with us. It's all about having a good time with out the attitudes!
Everyone is welcome to join in too.

Now, for some real fun, you will need to race in the blindfold race tomorrow.
This is gonna be so much fun. The race rules are as follows:
ANY electric car or truck.
Driver must be blindfolded, directions given to driver by coach/spotter.
No reverse!
5 minutes or 10 laps.
$ 5.00 entry with $ 20 Cash prize plus a nice trophy. ( Not as nice as
our Hoakie trophy's, but pretty nice)

Drew and I practiced a little. It's a lot harder than you think!

If you can't race it at least come and watch, as it is gonna be a HOOT!
