Hey guy's,
Here are some of the preliminary rules for the Nitro classes. Other folks are working on the Electric classes, so I can't help there.
As it stands right now, we are pretty flexible with the rules, and after the first of the year we will be firming these up, by votes from the club members. Majority rules!

NITRO-1/10 Scale Open Wheel
-Based on any nitro 1/10 scale truck chassis with single speed tranny.
-Must use 1/10 scale truck wheels and tires.(no foams)
-Since it is an "Open Wheel" class, the tires must be outside the body.
-Any body is acceptable.
-No side dam allowed.
-Fuel tank up to 125cc.
-Engine may from 12 to 18 small block.
-Carb must have a throttle return spring.
-Exhaust, not to exceed 85db

NITRO-1/10 Scale Limited Late Model
-Based on any 1/10 scale nitro buggy or truck with single speed tranny.
-1/10 scale buggy wheels and tires must be used. (no foams)
-The body must resemble a real dirt late model race car. This body may
be a manufactured 1/10 scale late model body or a home built version
out of Lexan. The tires and wheels must be covered when viewed from
above. Note- If you use a preformed body, you will most likely need to
narrow up your car with buggy a-arms to keep inside the body.
-Side dams are allowed. Max size is 6" X 15" mounted on left side only.
-Fuel tank can be up to 125cc
-Engine size, up to 18 small block.
-Must have throttle return spring.
-Exhaust can not exceed 85db.

NITRO-1/8 Scale Buggy
-Based on any 1/8 scale buggy chassis with single speed tranny.
-Must have buggy body.
-Any 1/8 scale buggy tire and wheel combination. (no foams)
-Fuel tank limited to 125cc.
-Engine- Any big block up to 28.
-Throttle return device required.
-Exhaust not to exceed 85db.
-No side dams.

NITRO-1/8 Scale Late Model
-Based on any 1/8 scale buggy chassis with single speed tranny.
-Must have a body that resembles a real dirt late model race car.
This body can be a 1/8 scale vacuformed or custom built Lexan body.
The tires and wheel's must be hidden from view by the body when
viewed from above.
-No side dams allowed.
-Any 1/8 scale buggy tire and wheel combination. (no foams)
-Fuel tank up to 125cc.
-Engine- any big block up to 28.
-Exhaust not to exceed 85db.

NITRO-Truggy and Monster trucks.
-Kinda unlimited at this time.
Any idea's???

NITRO Novice-
-At this time, we will let about anything run, just to get more new people
into this awesome sport/activity.

I hope that this helps with clarifing some of the rules. We are an outlaw track and our rules may not be the norm elsewhere.
Bring what you have and I'm sure we can find a place for you to run.

Any question's please ask here or at the track. See me..Uncle Mike

We had a good turn out Saturday.
We started our new Nitro Novice class. We expect this class to really grow.

Saw a few racing buddy's from the past. Pretty cool to see them, and get them to come racing with us.

We are planning on applying the soil stableizer this Friday so it will be ready for Saturday racing. Based on the information President Dan has obtained and the samples provided, this should really make the surface hard packed. New tire selections will begin Saturday, as we have no idea what will hook up.

The bad part about the soil stableizer is that it makes the clay very hard and may be rough on the tires and our existing set ups.

The Good part is that since the track is open every day from sun up to sundown, it should hold up and not reguire 10 to 15 man hours to prep the track every Saturday, prior to racing. And you can practice any day you'd like!!

Hope to see you there this Saturday.
Due to the time change, sign ups at 12 noon with racing at 1 PM.

See Ya, Uncle Mike

Do you think you will have a 1/10 nitro sprint car class?

Thanks

Our feeling is that if we can get (4) cars, that will make a class.

I like the sound of nitro sprint.

Gather up your nitro sprint buddies and come on over.
Look me up when you get there. Uncle Mike

We would love to see a nitro sprint class. Im not sure if anybody has a nitro sprint but that sure would be a welcomed class. If your local bring it by sat and mabey we can drum up some interest.
The old nastruck class was a blast when we ran it at that other track and Im sure some of the racers still have them sitting on the shelf so dust them off and bring them out. Ithink with the new surface on the track those thing will fly.
As far as pictures go I am having trouble getting them posted so my daughter is going to come by this week and give me a hand getting them on this thread.
Racing was great this weekend even though we had a small crowd we had a big time. Alot of the racers went to the Outlaw Nationals Drag race in Orlando.
We are also working with JR at RC Boca to have a bone stock spec class using the TRAXXAS SLASH CORR trucks. This is a great durable racer that will be a blast for around 200.00 you can go racing. This will be a multipurpose vehicle that you can run oval and off road.
We also feel that is very important to support our local hobby shops. We have lost three shops in Palm Beach County this year. So local racers dont forget RC BOCA HOBBIES, THREE G'S HOBBIES and RC TOY STORE. These guys support us so lets make sure we support them.
I would like thank all our racers for putting up with the rough track and all the racers that have busted their but to try and keep it smooth between races. I would like to make a special thanks to Art for running the tractor with the roller and keeping it between the fences.
We are really looking forward to racing and expecting a big crowd from the buzz thats going around. So remember sign ups are at 12:00 and racing starts @ 2:00.
SEE YA AT THE TRACK DAN

Everything is lookin good. I can't wait to see it when I come back down. I had a blast last time I was there. The truggy class was alot of fun. The rules for Truggy I think should be.

Any 1/8th scale production off road truck
Truck has to have a center diff.
Trucks that size with transmissions should be considered monster trucks.
Any Big Block engine is acceptable
I think thats it for now.
What do you guys think?

I'm looking at the track on Googlemaps and it appears that it's located just West of the Soccer fields there at the park?
Hope to make it down this saturday to check it out, looks like fun!

Hope to see ya saturday. Friday we are gonna have a work party to rework the track and add the soil stabilizer down. Picked it up today. Its going to be great to have a hard packed track and not have to put in 4 hours every race day to prep the track. Thanks Dan

Wow! what a day. We worked the track to perfection and added the soil stabilizer. We started at nine and finished at five. The track should be awsome for tomarrow and hopefully with zero maintenance or at least very little. I really want to put out a big thanks to Manny , Drew , Bob and my brother Mike. You guys busted your butts today so we can have a great track to race on. Thanks again for all the support and help that you guys do for the club. And now with this smooth track I can finally get out in the track and lay the smack down on you boyz. Oh yea Im talking smack and I will back it up. I am bringing the trophies home. Thanks again Dan
