FORGASS 2007/08 "Sour Grapes" Race
Ok Everyone,
Well another season is now complete and it is time to have our awards race. It will be on April 26th and 27th.
Schedule of the Weekend:
Saturday the 26th:
Track opens 8:00am, 2 Rounds of Qualifiers starting at 11:00am. After the second round of qualifiers is done the track will close. At this time we will elect next years officers and then hand out awards from this years results. If you ran in 4 or more races you will recieve an award. While this is going on our FORGASS Chefs will be preparing some food for your pleasure. We will have Brats, Burgers and Chicken. With some Chips, Beans etc.
This years officcers:
President - Gary Tuttle
Vice President - Greg Esser
Secretary/Treasurer - David Larry
Tech Official - Karla Stelljes
Sunday the 27th:
Track opens at 8:00am, 1 qualifier starting at 11:00am. Mains should start between 1:00 and 1:30pm.
Special Prize Award, We will be having a contest on the best paint scheme. The winner will have his paint scheme on the FORGASS web site for the next year.
I would like to have as many of the people getting awards as possible for pics for the web site. So make sure to have those clean shirts, nicely painted bodies etc.
One thing to remember everyone. Here is a remainder about how next years race will be set up according to our by laws:
If any track is intrested in hold a FORGASS race next year I need you to email me at [email protected] as soon as possible.

i. Race day entrants are added to heats on a first come first serve basis.
ii. Halfway thru the Series the DROP will be factored into the points and the qualifying grid set accordingly.
iii. First Series race is organized according to previous years finishing results from the "Sour Grapes"
iv. There are no re-sorts being the heats are set up by points.

I have received several different stories on Friday practice. Will the track open? Also, can I set up a trailer on Friday? What is the closest hotel to stay in?

Nevermind, just checked the site and the track is open on Friday at noon!!

Controlled Practice from 9am to 10:30am.
10:30am Drivers Meeting
3 rounds of Qualifying starting at 11am.
Sunday: Open Practice from 8am to 9am.
1 Round of Qualifying start at 9am.
Lunch break from 11am to noon.
Then mains starting at noon.
All A - Mains 30 minutes
All B - Mains 25 minutes
All other Mains 20 minutes
Registration on Saturday is from 8am to 9:30am,
Sunday from 8am to 8:30am.

That schedule was for the regular state series races. Please read the top post in the thread for this weekends schedule. You can set up your trailer on Friday but I do not believe the track will be open for practice.
