Ocala??? Isn't that off road country? J/K Have you checked with New Red Hobbies? Hope it works out so there's more options to race.

Well one, thats a start

Newred isn't currently running on road right now, I was thinking if i could get into a p/lot, it would help grow the participation. It would be good for the hobby shops and the local tracks.

I would be intersted in running. The only thing that I think hurt New Red in the Onroad was the track. I know they were working with what they had, but I think the people that put the track down in the first place didn't do a very good job. Not taking anything away from the owners and opperators, they are very dedicated people, but the track was rough and hard to run Nitro. I wish that they had the opportunity to repave and make it bigger, that would be great.

Paul_67....isn't thier a track in Tallahassee or was it in Pensicola at a mall?

There used to be a track in P-Cola at a mall, but their trailer was stolen along with the computer/timing system. They have since shut down.

We have a portable track in Tallahassee that we setup on Wednesday evenings for practice and races on the third Saturday of the month. The onroad turnout has been up and down for a while, but over the last 6 months we have gotten a lot of new guys that are seriously hooked and our turnouts have been steady at around 15-20 racers.

We race the 3rd Saturday of the month starting at 11:00am. The track is located at Home Depot West 1490 Capital Cir Nw, Tallahassee FL 32303. Here is a link to a map:http://maps.yahoo.com/index.php#mvt=...99&mag=4&env=F

Lately we have been running 19t and Mod. Lipos allowed.
I'll post something up before the race in case anyone is interested in making a road trip.

We haven't raced for any goodies in a while. Everyone started getting too serious when we busted out the Little Debbies. New tires and batteries every run, ceramic bearings, fights on the drivers stand, hired drivers and frequency jammers all for a box of Nutty Bars. Not really.

We're going to have a race this Saturday night(9/1) around 5:00 if you're up this way. We have a bunch of new guys that just can't get enough onroad action, so we're gonna have another night race to try and beat the heat. Since you mentioned it, I'll try and get some goodies for the winners.

lord forbid you break out bomb pops, nutty buddies, or cold drinks for hot weather races winners.. might incite a dang riot! not sure just when i'll make it back up there.. certainly not till we get settled in though.. hopefully soon..
