My 1st meeting was in Nov of 2006. I know it takes along time to deal with any govt.

Sep is when the clay is supposed to arrive. The track will be open 7 days a week for free practice, no membership required. For the club races, you will have to be a member because our club is going to have to pay to use the track and pay for insurance.

Default Track build this Sunday Oct 14th!!!

The county has delivered the clay and we will be building the layout Sunday. Please bring your shovels, tractors, rakes, ect if you would like to help. You must be a ROAR member to help for insurance reasons - available at the track for $30 per year. SBROC club memberships will be available soon and all ROAR members will receive a discount price.

This is the most recent update. Gene will probably put up some new pictures of their work on October 14th.

He is a very busy man! There must be atleast 3 clones of him with all the stuff he is involved in!

The layout is done, now I just need to pack and shape the jumps and install the pipe. Hopefully someone will come out this weekend to help me. Otherwise, it won't get done in 1 weekend.

I am going to rent a vibrating compactor unless some has one they could bring. I think they are $70 a day. My roller is broken.

Ouch!

Unfortunatly I know exactly how it is with track work and getting help. Hang in there, and keep hoping it gets better.

G C Herring Park
3440 Indiana Rd
Rotonda West, FL33947, US

Here is the address. I will try to finish the track on Friday or Sunday, depending on when I can get people to help out. Please e-mail me if you want to help. We only got half as much clay as I wanted, so I had to make due with what we had. Eventually, we can raise money to buy more clay and make the track better, but it still looks good fo far.

The track is done. I will post when the county gives us permission to open it to the public for free practice.
