We could ditch ifmar qualifying and run races for qualifying, w/ a rotating grid, 3 cars per row, everyone should get a front row start. use either a qual points system for main seeding, or still have best overall time. the reedy format i feel is way to complex to try and incorporate into every class.

This is how it used to be back in the day.

i like the lipo's even though i know nothing about them

Qual points got voted down in the past, too. Might have a different outcome this year? 6 races looks like fun, and it draws a few more racers to mod, but only from the other classes. We've kind of only managed to deplete the existing classes by adding Master's and trying to entice mod racers, not added any new racers. I like racing the Master's, but am aware of my ability (or lack of). Would it be out of line to suggest 3 classes only - stock, 19turn, and 12th scale? This would truly delineate ability through qualifying and add validity to winning.

Let's see, most of the suggestions we have here were voted on last year. At least Qual Points and 1 day events. I was for qual points, but against 1 day event. I believe the reason qual points was voted down was everyone thought that a race winner is the fastestest racer, not the most consistent and you need 5 rounds with 2 drops which would make for a longer weekend. The 1 day event thing has been discussed, but for me I don't see it saving me money, How could I possibly get up and drive 4 to 5 hours, race a long day and then drive home 4 to 5 hours? I still would need to stay in hotel, so I really didn't save anything, also what happens in the event of rain( which we had at the last race) on a one day event?
I can say that I do enjoy the reedy format this season, and brushless has been somewhat easier, so I think we need a way to allow brushless in other classes than mod.
As for lipo, I haven't enough knowledge about them to have an opinion, yet.

One day events with a twist ( Similiar on what we did in the beginning of the series).
Saturday is all day practice and advanced sign ups.
sunday drivers meeting at 8am racing starts at 9am.2-3 rounds of qualifying and the mains.
You have the option to show up saturday and practice and get a hotel room. Also all races held in the center of the state(like this year) with travel limit held down make it easier for those in the north and far south easier on travel.

That doesn't seem right to me, Giving the center(Orlando Area) all the races? Each track around Florida should have to chance to host an event, making some races closer to home, some medium distance and some farther. I think you will lose attendance and just make them like club races if you only host them in a central location. You kinda already have this type of events don't you( Superior Summer Sizzler)?

Questions
I'm only suggesting that beating the same six guys in a dilluted class does not have as much validity as beating forty in any other class. or even twenty. If I recall, some state races didn't even have enough mod guys for one heat, now there are ten. Statistically, I guess that's several hundred percent growth, but at the expense of other classes. My suggestion would merely concentrate the classes and put the focus back on driving, setup, and competition. I'm sure things won't change substantially, but isn't it fun to think about the possibilities? If we don't go with Qual points, how about running 7 or 8 minutes for stock? Perfectly possible with today's batteries and would put us at 28 minutes of runtime for the weekend versus mod's current 30 minutes?

Your right- I've never had this much fun in a long time. It also helps that I don't mess with the other stuff. But this Brushless motor and soon will have lipos is a very long time coming to the electric guys.If everyone went to lipos in 2008 maybe have our normal qualifiers and longer mains(like the nitro guys).
