Talking Racing at Coral Springs, FL

Are you an electric TC driver? If so, come out to Coral Springs, FL, and help us get organized Electric Touring car racing at this great track. A handful of guys have been running at the Coral Springs, FL track for the past 10 months. We have been giving it weekly maintanace- cleaning, blowing, sugar water/traction treating, and improving the track layout. Its been great, and some guys have really refinewd their skills and gain good knowledge and experience about the on-road TC and have gotten pretty good. However, there is no formal organized racing going on, which is very, very sad. The track and location is exellent and its a shame no one with organizing racing event experience can help us out. However, we would like to invite those that love EP TC's and run at MDI, to come down and visit us on Sundays, so we can run together and give support and share ideas. We ask all those that run at MDI to come run at Coral Springs track with us, and we will make sure track is clean, traction treated, and that overall we have good time. We have a new layout, which I'm sure you'll love, and it will be great for us EP TC's to support and help ano another...Sunday, Jan 28th from 10am to 5pm, we'll be there and hope at least some MDI racers will accept our invitation and help us get the ball moving once more in Coral Springs, FL...any questions or suggestions, please PM or post your comments or updates. Maybe there is someone out there that would like to manage and run the track/events? What equipment is needed? What steps need to be taken to run a track and organize racing events?

You are not authorized to use Coral Springs ractrack. Please donot run your cars there.

Bob Husted and I have been negociating with the city to start a Club under the charter to the offroad side.

If you are using the facilities you will hurt our efforts. Go to the Florida threads where you will see a thread for the track.

We are holding practice/races on the first weekend of the month if your interested in racing with us.

We had a sceduled day on febuary 3rd but the snowbirds will be taking place that week.

Also if you are sneaking on to the track the Coral springs police have been asked to escort you or anyone off the property. Also the off road club has been authorized to do the same. Your only allowed on the track when we are there.. Please dont do it anymore you will hamper any progress with the city due to liabilaty issues.

We are working at bringing racing back. If you have any questions visit the florida thread or come out this saturday we will be tearing down the track. We are putting down a new layout that is oval friendly. W have been fixing the drivers stand , and re doing the timing loop.

Some of the other work to be done is going to be a new outside retaining wall made of wood instead of Pvc and the track will have painted corners( FIA curbing).

Please stop posting as you have. If you want to help visit us so we can work together.

The track is located within a public park. Paid for by taxpayers.

Feel free to run your cars anytime you like.

Gonad (Jim) sorry to tell you this but your not in charge anymore ok! peabody !

No its not ok to be out there when none of the club officials are not present.

Liability issues prevent that. There are other details that are not finalized with the city , dont jeoperdize it for everyone.

Too much fun.

Hector is so easy to set off.

I'm sure the track will be fine. Bob has a proven track record, no pun intended.
