Racing in Orlando / Kissimmee
 

Hi,
I'm coming to Orlando on March 1st for 2 weeks. Will there be any on road racing in Orlando or Kissimmee during this time ? I was hoping to visit the Kissimmee track but there doesn't seem to be a thread on here for it any more.

Superior Hobbies races the first sunday of the month .Both Nitro and electric TC and 1/12th 19t.They are located on sr 436.

There is a race march 3 and 4 at kissimmee. Check the Forgass.com web for more info.

There is also racing at Strickland, in Holly Hill about an hour east on I-4, offroad on 3/3 and oval on 3/10. Great place to race or just visit.

Check Superior thats usually a big one. You gonna run or just spectate?

I'm gonna spectate. I'm hoping to bring my 4 year old son. He has an electric car which is basically a toy, but not a bad model in all fairness, probably a good enough one to get him interested. Trouble is the weather here is so bad he rarely gets to use it. I don't konw how long he will stay interested for though !! Are there any facilities at the track, or nearby shops in case we need a break ?

yeah there is a 7 eleven right next door and of course if u want a break and want some air conditoning you can go in the hobby shop

The shop is pretty big, they have a restroom if needed. Plaza has a nice bar/restaurant called smokey bones, last time I checked it also had a smaller bar/pub as well. Gas station too. Go to the superior racing thread and ask Jeff Brown if you need more imfo.....

There is JR Hobbies about a mile out from the track. But as far as shops in general, not much. Its on the end of an old Runway.

Thanks rcfoolz, I know JR Hobbies, I visited last year. The owner is from near where I come from in England.
