We have a few updates to give on the Homestead event.

The speedway requested that we adjust our program to run our mains on the same day as the Indy Car and GTP race which is Saturday the 24th.

So that will mean qualifying on the 23rd and mains on the 24th. This will put main day during the peak spectator time of the weekend.

Friday will be qualifying day for the GTP and Indy Cars. Saturday will have the GTP feature a concert then the Indy Car race at 8 pm.

Our objective for this event is to put a well ran R/C event in front of the estimated 30,000-50,000 spectators to help raise awareness of our Sport.

As well as get to see some full scale racing and have some fun.

So we will be setting a schedule once entries are in so everyone will know what time they will need to be trackside which should give everyone time to enjoy some of the other racing. We will plan to be done with mains before the Indy car races starts.

We will have display booths for companies to show their product to the spectators. These companies will not be able to sell to the general public but can sell to registered racers when they need parts.

We will be using most of the standard RC Pro on road program with a few deviations due to the special event.

Qualifying - 3 rounds of qualifying 10 minute qualifiers.
Single best qualifier seeds the mains.
The sportsman sedan, 1/8, 1/5 F1 & 1/5 Touring classes will run 30 minute A mains. B- mains 15 minutes C and lower 10 minutes.
Pro sedan & 1/8 will run triple A mains 15 minutes each. B mains 20 minutes & C and lower 15 minutes.

We will have our normal 120 entry limit for the 1/8 & sedan classes and an additional 30 entries available for the 1/5 classes.

We are working on hotel details so we can post those along with the flyer. The flyer will be posted next week. Sorry for the delay but we just want to make sure all details are taken care of before the flyer is posted.

Hey guys sorry to hijack the thread but most of you have micros here in south florida. There is a local hobby shop interested in holding races, and building a permanent track. Please check them out. You'll have a good place to get some wheel time in between races dates.

Here is his pos!

Hello, I am here to see if there is any interest for 1/18th scale racing. We will begin racing once we generate enough interest to start a class and we already have a lot of interest in Mini-z racing (1/28). The surface will be either RCP Track material or a resurfaced parking lot. Our location is @ 12847 sw 42nd ST. The name of the store is MicroMotorSport Hobbies, and we currently race 1/28th scale and want to broaden the scene to 1/18, and may also run drifting sessions aswell. Thank you for your time, and hope to see some of you come out to race

We will be holding a race this upcoming Sunday for Mini-z, stop by and check our the store if you like.

An idea of the space we have for 1/18th outdoors: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8w0...related&search=

this is about half of the parkinglot lengthwise, and as you can see, plenty of lighting. 1/28th scale races are held inside of the store.

Micro Motorsports.
12847 SW 42nd St
Miami FL 33175
305.220.4446

Thanks, Hector.
