Red face

I'm deathly afraid of appearing on the next edition, long hair and all.

Of course, a shot of my dad wearing a neon green hat might be worth it.....

Nice video Mike, ya can't help but smile the whole time you watch that.

Reminds me a lot of my start.....1985 dirt oval with a Tamiya grasshopper and AJ's rear tires. We had a place for a short time of over here called Howard's hobbies and we raced every Saturday. Those days were great!

Man, I didn't live down here then but I remember the days as well. Funny to think I have been into it for 20 years now. I won a race in 1989 and the trophy was as tall as me at some local dirt race. I still have that trophy.

I was poking around the net a few weeks back and found some video clips. I think some of you guys will enjoy the oval ones at the bottom. There is even Vicky Carruba at the 1985 US Indoor Champs.

The track is just pieces of carpet in the track layout. It isn't even one big giant rectangle yet. The carpet isn't grey either.
I think that floor carpet is still the same in the ballroom today.

Since some of you are talking about old decals set- Dr.Pepper- Sunoco the old Autographics Nascar set with the nascar decal they had to stop making. Remember the whip you had to have ten decals on the fender to run. Maybe I'll run and inventory of old (new ) decal sheets soon.

I don't know if you guys know or not but Autographics has gone out of business. They were great and I loved their stuff. The guy that owned it died and his wife closed the business.

Mike great video! I remember those days. While I didn't race at those tracks, I raced in South Florida I remember the Wedge cars and how many people use to be there and the Trophies were crazy! I think everyone had a trophy room back then.
