Woo Hoo WisconsinBasher! I love the smell of nitro in the morning, or is that napalm, haha. I have been into Nitro for years and just am stuck on it. I think electric guys have great buggies and love seeing them at the track. But as a nitro guy, I like the thought of more nitro guys there to. This year I hope and plan to run a lot! Look forward to meeting you WisconsinBasher!

Is it spring yet. I'm ready for the snow to be gone. I just wanna run my cars. But looking forward to an exciting year out at Rick's. Hopefully I can make all of the club races this year to contend for a title. But looking forward to seeing everybody out there and hopefully meet some new people this year.

Any general advice on tires for mod 2wd SC and 1/8th e-buggy? In a couple videos I looked at the track looked loose and dry, but I suppose it's not always that way.

Well I only have a Nitro 8ight but I run a combination of I-beam and Cityblock from AKA. I also believe that a lot of the guys were running crime fighters. The track can get a little looser late summer but we have a watering system that we will use during the races. We do have two bigger races early in the season so it might get "Blue" grooved up early in the season. I don't know what kind of tired for your 2WD SC.

The tires I liked using on buggy were like wheelieman said. The cityblocks are a good starting spot, but I also found that Impacts and Subcultures worked pretty well also. Once the track grooves up or is freshly watered, a small pin tire like the Gridiron, or Hybrid tread pattern. As for the shortcourse I ran Blockades and a Holeshot. This year I will be trying out some Calibers on the SCT.

I would go SS.

Ricks is funny because it can be any number of track conditions from: dry and dusty, dry n grooved, wet n loamy, damp n loose, and any combo of those. Hopefully because of the Series races early on in the year we will get lots of vehicle traffic to groove it as much as possible. That and tons of track maintenance early on should make for a good surface all year long.
