I am SOOOO pumped for this! We are planning on running a single personal transponder per team to insure the best performance and accuracy from the loop/computer. We are hoping for the "top" level racer on each team to supply this transponder, and RX lead pig-tails if you so choose.

Put my name in the hat for a tentative, non-slash owning driver. Might want to think about changing that motor out before this one... Ill bring the canned air for my team if i can get there.

John and I experimented with an ESC fan over the motor, mounted on a simple piece of plastic and came off at ~105 degrees after an 11 minute main. Worked great!

Default up to you

I don't think there is a dress code, so what ever you feel like wearing.

My motor was in the 110-120 degree range with the fan and hose.

Couple quick suggestions for those planning to run in the Firecracker...
  • Gear down...probably in the 17/90 or 16/86 range to keep temps down.
  • Check your hinge pins...probably a good idea to pick up a cheap set of Traxxas pins with e-clips, or at least reverse your screw-in pins.
I think what will surprise people is how close the racing will be as we get down to the last few minutes. People will be scrambling to keep a truck out there putting laps down....IT'S GONNA BE A BLAST!!!

If anyone has a team that needs another driver, let me know, I love racing!

What esc fan did you use? And john is that what you were talking about how you cant run your personal now because of the fan on the motor.
