Default Freedom Raceway 1st Race 2012 - May 12 at Rick's Hobby Farm

Well the first race is May 12 - Freedom Raceway at Rick's Hobby Farm.

You guys have a week to practice. But since it's a new track, I think everybody has a great chance to win. I will be there as soon as I can on Saturday and you can start practicing at 10am. Register, get a transponder checked out. We will be getting prizes this week and will let you guys know what is going on Saturday morning.

Classes to be determined based on numbers entered. Everything else will be explained before you register. Any questions, please pm me.

Open Classes
$15 for the first class and $10 each additional class.

Camping is free and always welcome at Rick’s. Feel free to come out Friday to practice and camp overnight if you wish. No hook-ups but your welcome to park your campers.

I'm heading out to the track this afternoon to tweak a few jumps for the race. I hope to take a few laps as well. It's nice to have a couple guys out to marshall for each other. Come out if you want some practice before the race.

I had a great time racing yesterday!

As more people come out and race and the track breaks in it will only get better!

Grilling, drinking, racing, and BSing with everyone was great. I look forward to next month.

I am glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. I know the guys like to hear it. It makes all their hard work mean something. Its nice to see people out there running on it so we can learn what still needs to be done at the track. Thanks for all your suggestions and we will keep making it an awesome track. Afterall, the better we support all of our tracks, the better WE have it. I don't just mean Freedom Raceway, but Teas, Jerry's, all of the tracks in this area.

Just to remind you racers that placed and recieved the certificates from Hobbytown. They do have an expiration date before the next race. Use them up, you might get more at the next race!

awesome track fun to run on! at the end i think the sweeping helped alot b4 the mains! sct 4x4 was last and it seemed like the traction was still up! so if there were a couple more brooms we shuld try that out insted of wetting it after every round! i think the groove will come around faster!

I agree Zeestraten46, sweeping is important. I know the guys will be doing more track grooming before the next race. I think most of the approaches were working well. I know Dave and I made a lot of mental notes on what was and wasn't working. It's nice to have feedback from the racers. Dave has the results and will be posting soon. Thanks to all the racer's that participated. It means a lot.

The track gets better every time I run on it. I'm heading out to Rick's tomorrow around noon to do some laps. I hope some others are out too, the weather is looking good.

Default A few things...

I think I may have left a hex driver at the track from the other week. It is a dynamite 1.5mm red aluminum driver with a wrap of red hockey tape around the handle. If anyone sees it can you please set it aside with my name on it. Thanks.

And... Any results yet?

hey Wade, I didn't see it up there yesterday but wasn't looking. I may have to go up there this week. If I do, I will look for it. Dave is working on the results. He just downloaded them from the laptop but not sure if they worked on his or not.
