I am sorry to announce that the Re-opening is delayed a week due to weather. It sounds like tomorrow is supposed to be raining most of the day and cold. We will keep the track closed for one more week. We will have our Re-opening on May 5. I hope you will make it!

Well the plan is to get together on Saturday. It looks like the weather is going to be pretty good. Atleast decent temperatures! I hope you guys have your stuff ready because the track is awesome.

I am glad you made it out there today Wade! Hope everybody had fun. It was interesting to see what kind of lap times people were running. Looks like the average for 1/8 Buggy was around 72 seconds per lap.

Well if you seen the track 22 Racer, you would understand the time. It is huge and it has a lot of jumps. I am sure most of the guys think it is fun but challenging.

As the track is set up now, a fast lap could be under 60 sec...I have yet to crack the mark myself. As the track wears throughout the summer, the whoops will break down and we'll tweak a few few jumps. Regardless, it is going to stay in the 50-60 second range for fast lap times.

50-60 second Laps Nate, in my dreams! I will be happy making it around there without crashing, haha. The stadium trucks seemed to be having fun out there too.

So in a 5 minute main you might get five laps...

After running today I have to say the track is pretty epic. There is big air, technical sections that really tests a driver and their car, and some good stretches of speed. Only one area I thought might need to be improved is...

the whoops... I dunno... with the lap times as slow as they are would two or three smaller European style "jumps" in both areas be better? It just seems that the whoops don't test setup or require driver skill, they just pound your car till you get thru them, then u can go. Maybe when they flatten out it will make sense... but as they sit, they do seem a bit overkill.

Other than that, wow, what a nice facility and an amazing track. I can't wait to race!

Thanks for the comments Wade and it was nice meeting you yesterday. I am glad you liked the track for the most part. The guys have worked their butts off on it. I can't personally comment on the track yet since I have not been able to drive on it yet. I have heard a lot of comments that people like it and it definitely is challenging. Ofcourse, it hasn't seen my 8ight yet, haha
