Default 7th Annual Northstar Classic

The dates and location have been set, Dec2-4th in the Sawyer School gymnasium. Sawyer is 15 minutes se of Minot on Hwy 52. More info coming soon, but if you are planning on coming you must get a room SOON as rooms are in very high demand in the Minot area. The track will be 48'x92' on CRC Fastrack Carpet in a very nice gymnasium facility.

If you are having trouble finding rooms, I was told today that you could contact the Minot Convention and Visitors Bureau. There phone number is 800-264-2626.

You could try anywhere to the east of Minot - Towner, Rugby or Harvey maybe? They're about 50-65 miles away. Between the floods and oilfield workers, hotel rooms are at a premium in Minot and West right now.

Let us know when you get the motor/battery for VTA decided.
Also, Are you calling for a spec tire in rubber touring, or is tire choice open?

On Expedia there were a couple rooms in the $140-160 range. I called the Vegas and got two king rooms reserved at $99/night so I didn't quibble over the $10. The Vegas ain't far from "roach motel", but it WAS better the second time we stayed there a couple years ago vs. the first year in 2005. I go on the basis that I'm only there to sleep...I really don't care much about amenities.

Now to get a few people together to fill those rooms...

See ya'll soon,

Scottrik

Sounds like a lot of "shooting". Should we be packin' heat?

Be sure to let us know when the VTA spec gets sorted. FWIW here we're running full USVTA spec (2-cell 25.5 with no gearing restrictions).

The rubber tire will be either a sweep 32 or a a jaco blue.
