April not mid January.. and we look at all the possible gains and losses months ago when we set the date... Just as many can travel and take time off as those who choose other items are more enticing then a large race. This is our premier event hope you choose to make it.

Season starts off in just 5 days... Going to be a lot of fun to have the challenge in the heart of the season.

possible options being looked at:

black light dash.

team drive
last man standing does not work very well with on road.

black light dash sounds cool.. A team race would be cool too but you need to mix up the drivers so you don't have a ringer team coming in and dominating..

[QUOTE=Greg Amendola;9563372]I"m thinking new years day is a REALLY bad choice for a race day.

You are competing against:

1) Family plans
2) Hangovers
3) Football
4) People travelling
5) It's a Holiday

Im out this years race because of one of the above mentioned! Why was the race moved up so much over last years? The New Years Rumble isn't over the holiday weekend because they know they would loose entries if it was. Someone help me out here!:-)

Sorry you can not make it chris.. No matter were a race goes it has some comp.. Just the way it works.. We posted these dates in May, today is not the day to complain about it..

Many can make it and it works for our schedule and gets us out of the end of season migration. This is a premiere event and many have that weekend off and it works very well for those looking to travel without taking more time off work.

Wasn't really complaining just wanted to understand the logic behind it. Have a great race!

Same logic that applies to every race..

Our holiday scheduled races have done exceptionally well, as have national ones we have watched over many years and normal races that have hit holidays.. Last New Years eve we had 40 racers in.. was actually a larger then normal crowd.. The Thanks Giving weekend race was a great success as Cleveland does well on T day weekend also and V-day races have done well.. So really when all the dates were put on the calander.. The best possible option with the lest amount of conflicts for us (the ones who have to make it happen every week) and fitting in the schedule without creating a squeeze on any know events was early January.. Left plenty of time to snowbirds.. allowing it to be warm up for the big show, Was not interferring with christmass... far enough away from Northstar which was usually 2nd week of Dec, and not too close to prairie Knights mid feb.. Just happens to be New Years hits a weekend that hit our every other week race schedule. A bunch of other factors come into play also but that is generally how we set those items out there..

Have been out of this for a while ....3-4 years....
I want to race my T4, and purchase a T3 2012 edition....

Confused on the way it is writen...."OPEN WHEEL"?....
I would think you have a 1/10th scale rubber sedan class racing???
Seemed it would be quite popular?

Perhaps I am missing something...

Also....
Does MMR Sell xray cars???
THanks guys...

Justin.
