Personally think that excuse was a bunch of bs, I think the delay from the first spektrum was just more noticable on the rug from the excessive traction and some of the early units didnt work right and that was an excuse.

Default Futaba 2.4

I have been using the system for a few weeks and had no problems with it at all.

Anybody ran the system on a 1/12th? Any problems operating on 4 cells?

Default 2.4

I only race 1/12th have not tried without a receiver pack but have had no problems with static build up that some spectrum users have had

Received my system yesterday and did some test runs in front of my house after work. Felt just as fast as my previous HRS synthesized system. Has good range..I was able to drive it down the block without any loss of signal or glitches. Receiver is small..the same size as the R203HRS receiver.

looking forward to getting it on the track.

Here's the soon to be released 3PK-S 2.4ghz system with integral antenna...

j/k...I took the module apart and rerouted the antenna... If I only the coax cable was another 3-4 inches longer... I could do the mod.

pretty cool Zombie... You trying it at speedworld this weekend?
I like keeping the analog ant in case i need to go back for some reason like failure...since the 2.4 ant doesnt' hang off bakc like other radio's it's not bad...

yup..my bro and I will be at SWR this weekend... Javier hasn't confirmed if racing is still on.... if no SWR...maybe Stockton Carpet or at Norcal.

yea..I'll probably keep the old antenna and synthesized module and receivers as backup too.

Mine showed up, and it did include the cover for a darker Futaba radio. It looks really nice, and everything seems to fit together well. The receiver's size is between the Spektrum micro and regular, and it does have the antenna. It's an interesting material, too, kind of silicone wire like you see on the brushless motor wire harness. There's about two inches at the end of exposed wire with no shielding.

I haven't run it yet, but based on what people have said, I'm expecting it to be just fine, and fast.

Now, I need to sell my 3 Spektrum receivers, and module for a 3PK. :-D

yea..the wire is like a micro coax cable. the outer covering can easily be damaged, cut or scraped. escpecailly if you have an aluminum antenna holder. I put some heatshrink tubing in mine leading to the antenna tube.

Ramon,

How about a picture of the receiver mounted on your car?

Thanks.

Angry

I just got my Futaba 2.4 Ghz system today and not so good.

My analog steering servo is freaking out and won't shut up. The receiver battery is charged over 6.0v and the llights are green. At times it will stop but, cycle the steering and it starts all over again.

I tried this without motor battery and only steering servo hooked up.

My 3pk is in HRS mode and FS is off because there is only PCM FS on this radio. All settings back to default.

If I have to get another radio forget it. I'll stick with my PCM. Have enough receivers for all my toys. Land and water.

What gives?

With the older HRS receivers, you had to use a digital servo, otherwise it would do exactly as you are describing. I dont have a 2.4 (yet), but I would assume it would be the same scenario. With your PCM, it doesnt matter what kind of servo you have, just with the HRS.

I did have the pleasure of testing one over the summer, and all I can say is WOW!!

I'm using digital servo and my transmitter is set to HRS..without any problems.

try switching your transmitter to PPM mode.
