The LRP goes up to 8amps instead of the Novak max of 7. If you’re running the Sanyo 3000HV’s in stock, that extra amp does make a difference in punch IMO.

Yep, you're right, I mixed it up. Sorry.

What I mean, is that the LRP Pulsar is a great charger !

I just tried a search on the Novak site after "slope". It's only the Novak marketing bla. bla. about their NiMh2 charging method. They dont get technically in their explanation, they only say that it's their detection method for charging NiMh's. Most others of todays good quality chargers offer a similar solution, they just call it something else.

In short, if the Reedy charger are NiMh compatible, it will do the job.

Good morning! I want to thank everyone that responded to my thread. Oh; And I want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving weekend! Please! Somebody tell me where the year has gone.

Anyway; I really appreciate all the responses, and I think I will lean toward the Reedy Quasar Pro, although I won't be buying for a few weeks yet. I have read some good things about it. Yeah; this whole 'Slope' thing is a bit confusing to me. I guess what it boils down to, is you really don't want to 'peak' Nimh batteries, and that is the trouble with some of the chargers. My understanding is that some of these newer chargers with the conditioning features solve that problem, with adjustable settings, and soforth.

I read the review on the new Reedy Quasars in, I believe, last month's Radio Control Car Action magazine. So; there may be something on their website.

I just bough a Reedy Quasar Pro, it is a really nice charger!

Only one complaint. I use an M-8 radio, when I get the radio close to the charger (while charging) it seems to make the voltage reading go way up, then when I turn the radio off, the voltage drops back down and cuts off the charge.

It only does it with an M-8 so far, i tried some other radios with no effect.

Has anybody else had this problem?

That is strange. I wonder why it would do that? I have a KO Propo EX-1, and am currently using an MRC Super Brain 959 charger, but I want to upgrade soon. I like what I have read about the Reedy Quasar Pro.

Default Eagle CDC 6.0/B

If you are in the market for a charger, consider the Eagle CDC 6.0/B (Integy 16x5v6 in the US).
-charge, discharge, cycle 1-10 cells
-10 battery user programmable profiles so you do not have to change charge/discharge parameters for different batteries
-4 charge modes: normal, fuzzy logic, partial, and boost
-indiglo blue backlight LCD
-2 internal fans
-time, mAh, and mOhm (IR) display during charging and discharging.

Even though it's marketed as Indi 16x5 v6 in the US. the label on the charger still says CDC.

and we don't get the pretty colored box...I got mine in a plain white box.
