Wow... I cannot believe my favorite race of the year is over already. Thanks to the NORCAR family for their hospitality and intestinal fortitude to bring back handout motor racing to the people. I for one was amazed with the level of competition in both of the 17.5 classes-- and was privileged to just be in the mix.

The Gate is kinda like Hollywood. Once you make it at The Gate... You can make it anywhere. Congrats to all of the winners...

Finally, massive thanks to Chris Goetz for the stellar announcing and race management. I know he joked about the 20k+ internet followers of this year's race. Next year we will have modern internet scoring / broadcasting so hopefully everyone can see the big shows (near) real time. Whichever manufacturer want to step up to help fund this .... You know whom to talk to...

Great time at the HC.

Thanks to all the NORCAR members and volunteers who made this happen. Special thanks to Steve S. for helping me find my pit spot. I promise to wear my glasses when I show up next time.

Racing was very tight in the handout motor classes. I know there are many opinions on handouts but the racing was really good and I personally think this was a move in the right direction for stock.

Hope everyone had a good time and safe travels home.

Even though my race result was horrible, I had a fantastic time! The NORCAR staff hosted a great event, the race calling was entertaining to say the very least and getting to meet so many new racers from far and wide was the icing on the cake! Speaking of cake, how about all that great food and coffee required to keep us awake between rounds? It's got to be borderline illegal to have that much fun! Thank you for all of the hospitality, I will definitely be back!
