Default New Gestapo clsoing threads...

Am I the only one here that seems to think RC tech is not nearly as liberal as it used to be??? Simple fun threads get locked or deleted.....

Shane what up with that?????

Half the people complain when I don't close enough threads, and the other half complain when I close too many threads. It's tough being an admin.

Actually I don't think we're locking any more threads than we used to.

In this particular case, the thread wouldn't have been locked if it had a more descriptive topic... haha

Why did the T thread get locked? There were no arguments, no one was trying to sell a product without being a paying advertiser????

I edited my post to add that answer.

Also, we usually don't just go around locking threads to squeeze more ad dollars out of people, far from it. The problem is enforcing things just enough that people will actually abide by the rules, versus not doing anything at all. I've found that if we just let things slide, it's a downward spiral and everything becomes harder to enforce.

Maybe because it really has nothing to do with Electric On Road Racing?? It probably was moved to the Chat Lounge where it belonged anyway.

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

You're right. It's the letter U who always gets the short end of the stick.

another way of keeping supernumerary posts to a minimun would be to not reward members by displaying their stats: ie. 6,329 Posts Since Aug 2001 just my .02
