Default Need help with Pro 3 ! ! !

I was initially going to buy my HPI RS4 Pro3 tomorrow and I just realised that there are different kinds of Pro3's.

What is a normal Pro3???

I am getting a Pro3 Spec S, is that a normal Pro3 or worse then a normal Pro3???

Please tell me the differences between a normal Pro3, a Pro3 spec S and a Pro3 Spec V.

Which web site I can visit to read and learn more about Pro3's??

Please Help

And also, a HPI RS4 Pro3 Spec S with a Dodge Stratus body for $210 US Dollars.
Is that worth it for a Pro3 Spec S ? ? ?

I think you should go for the Losi XXX-S. I have 2 pro 3's which are pretty heavily modified and a box stock XXX-S. IMO I think the XXX-S is a better value.

Pro 3 is what i have which is okay out of the box.
Spec S comes w/ less stuff.
Spec V I'm not sure about.

Go w/ the XXX-S you won't regret it.

Information on the spec S and spec V is on the hpi japan site, you'll have to use a translation site like babelfish to read it.

Compared to the standard Pro3, the Spec S has fixed links, non-threaded shock collars, and dogbones instead of CVD's (i think). It does come with tyres though.

The Spec V is Asia only, and comes with a lot of HPI Hop ups, like purple alloy parts and graphite-mix plastic parts, as well as a one-way diff, differentc caster blocks and bits like that.

$210 for a spec S seems expensive compared to the prices the standard pro 3's have been available for.

Default Pro-3 prices

Babexx;

I paid $120 usd for my STANDARD Pro-3 kit about 3 months ago. Ultimate Hobbies might still have them at that price.

As for the other versions, I have not seen them for sale in the Hobby Shops here (California, USA).

If I were you I would go for the Pro 3 Spec V or atleast the Pro3 US version. You'll be sorry if you get a spec S especially for the price your paying. The US version I have seen going for less than $150 at several places. But if you want to save money on hop ups buy the Spec V and a Hot Bodies top deck and you got a Pro 3 pretty much ready to race.

I have seen your Blue edition and I was watching it. But, I Don't like HPI's being blue. HPI is supposed to Purple. Plus, I think it looks nicer. If it was a completely trick color like a Red, Green or Gold I would take it in an instant.

Here's the proposed Pro3.5 in purple.
HPI is not sure if it will be released or not...
