Tamiya TB Evo 7

On another note my car is ready for the track.
In VTA trim w/o transponder in there I am at 1389g. That is kit setting, no light weight parts.
So this chassis isn't the Porker I first thought. That is only 9g over minimum for USGT (with GT wheels/tires/body I'd be under) and I will need to add 60g to make weight for VTA.
Really enjoyable build, no issues. Will run a few laps today at Phoenix RC.

BooHoo, 3rd run broke a C-Hub.
Car is easy to drive though, little pushy. New tires too so that is probably part of it.
Have 420 update kit on the way so hope that address' the CHub problem.

I'm curious to see how the 420 kit works. I ordered the Exotek C-hubs to install during the build.

I was at 3.9 with Revtech 25.5. Small track, probably go up to 4.0 for better infield.

Some goodies arrived today. Still waiting on some Exotek parts to arrive before we start the builds.

Wow, twice the fun.
Enjoy the builds!

Got my the Hiro screw kit, calling it a night. Mid motor setup and I just spent the last 2hrs building. Try to get as much done possible tomorrow.
tired lol

Chassis protector looks nice. Are hole pre cut? Seems would be tough to position perfectly if so.

Bah, not for me then. I was thinking would be cool on top of chassis.

So I got my first race in with the car in VTA. In the Main I hit pipe bunch of times and was a whole lap back, even more if leader hadn't shown mercy.
In Q3 I had my best run, only 3sec behind leader. For me that's really good, just to be on same lap I was happy.
The real good news is car is working really well. Couple fast guys ran it and were really impressed. Everyone else, especially the Tamiya fanboys also loved the car, looks so good.
I have 420 update kit on it and performance and durability are great. Ran all weekend and only break was a steering Knuckle. C-Hubs are much beefier than original.
Didn't take much to get the new suspension setup and working well. For sure a worthy upgrade. I have also ordered the Shock update kit. I keep having the shock bladders push into the shock body. Happens when I turn spring adjuster, twisting force they slip. The shock caps don't have a very good seat in the bladder like other shocks we've built. Hoping the update addresses this.
Only other "upgrade" I did was the alloy diff housing since the original leaked on me. Haven't done any weight reduction as I actually had to add 40g to make weight. Maybe in future I will reduce weight in drive (rotating mass) but for now need to focus more on my lines.
Anyway, anyone else who bought these up will be happy with how they run. I see TamUSA is now sold out on them. Too bad as I'd like to have grabbed a second one. So if anyone is looking to unload one hit me up.

Got some work done on the cars tonight. I'm going to run the C layout and my brothers will be regular layout.
