Default QC2 - No Brakes?

I've had my QC2 for a while, but I've now noticed that it won't apply any kind of brakes to the motor. I've calibrated the controller numerous times, and I can see the double-red lights indicating that the full brakes are on, but there's no slowdown whatsoever.

Everything else works fine, no loss of power, etc. I have 2x10A schottkies and a cap hooked up to it.

I'm assuming any kind of setting for Initial and Automatic brake would still give you some kind of brakes, correct?

Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything before sending it in to get repaired.

Anyone have an idea of repair costs for something like this?

Thanks.

I had the same problem with my original Quantum Comp. and ended up sending it back to Associated. They charged $90 to get it replaced, I guess they couldn't fix it. Hopefully you can get yours back for less.
