Has anyone that's built this car had an issue balancing the pod? I built one and I have to shim the motor over 5mm to get it balanced and doing that doesn't allow enough rotor shaft for a pinion. I am running a tsr motor if that matters

I talked to several top drivers at our club and they said that it isn't necessary to balance the pod, because the pod isn't moving. You have to balance the chassis without the pod.

Default well done...

Looked over the manual, looks to be a very, very solid chassis.

It's not bad. To me it had a little to much play in the upper arm and hing pins. And I feel it will need a front bulkhead brace as the chassis has a lot of flex being 2mm. But over all pretty nice. And extremely light as well.

Good idea, are you thinking 200 or 235 mm?

I wouldn't mind both. We mostly run WGTR and I think between F6 parts and R6 parts a 200mm car would be easy to develop.

Just finished building my kit last night, and noticed the shock shaft is super wiggly inside the body. Did I do something wrong, or is that normal?

Default Build Notes for the RC12R6

In the UK the team are excited about the new car and looking forward to the 2017/2018 national season. I have two club runs under my belt and the car made me feel like I used to feel driving T-bar cars. Very predictable and a joy to drive.

I am probably slower than I used to be but for sure this car is faster!

I am blogging again at Mark Payne's 1/12th Scale RC Notes

I have already added a bunch of build notes for the Associated RC12R6.

Best regards

Any idea if the new pod pivot assembly will bolt into a 12r5.2? Would be nice to get a better pivot ball and transverse battery in one upgrade.
