Mugen MTC1 Wiki:

MTC1 Manual on the Mugen Web Site.

Correction for the manual

The max/min tooth count of the spur and pinion combined.

64p = 127 to 164 total teeth

48p = 95 to 120 total teeth

People who have spare spur gears left over from other cars which they wish to use but can only utilize 2 of the 4 mounting holes, here's neat trick from MKAH to drill 2 more holes precisely in the spur gear:

1.Dismantle the Spur Holder and mount XRAY Spur with two screws.

2.If you have take a 3mm Top Setting Screw

3.Get the Top Screw in the first free thread to the Spur Holder from the other side until it touches the Spur a litle bit.
Make the same with the second free Thread.

4.Dismantle Top set Srew an the two screws witch holds the Spur on the Holder.
Now you see two marks absolutely central.

5. Take an 3mm Driller an Drill the holes at the marked places

6.Mount the Spur with the two old and two new holes on the Spur.

Spur Gears known to fit the gear holder with the correct hole pattern

1. Axon
2. Panaracer

Upper front arm hinge pin set screw tip (or any of the kit set screws):

When installing the set screw run the set screw in until you can see it come into the hinge pin gap. Back the screw out and make sure there is no flashing in the way and then the screw. Now slide the pin in and you should hit the pin and come to a dead stop. It will be a solid feel and not sloppy like it will not tighten which is caused by any loose plastic.

Have you considerred that maybe it (420) suits your driving style better?? I have no complaints, and quite frankly I personally do not get on well with a Mid Motor Car on asphalt. As such whatever comes out of the Mugen works next, I will truly give a try. Surely with pietsch stating he wanted to focus on TC more, and with Eric Dankel surely they will come out with another great product!

Hello, guys. After setting the camber of my MTC1 to 2 degrees, I found the front left upper arm is 1mm longer than the front right upper arm. Is this normal? I never saw such a big difference before. On my Xray T4, the length discrepancy between the left camber link and right camber link is less than 0.3mm. I'm sure the arm bushing on both sides is symmetrical.

Confirmed this is the conversion kit from Rebellion RC....

Robert would not confirm any ETA, but one of the team drivers told me we are probably looking late summer. Kind of bummed but looking forward to USGT race next weekend with the car I have.

What is the softest and hardest shock spring model numbers. I can't find a mtc1 spring chart anywhere. Anyone used the speed mind shock spring set 5 pairs for mtc1? Any good?

Sorry for the delay, I have been running TC since the 90's (Yokomo YR4 - Keil DTM) and as i have gotten older, conceding my skills are no longer able to adapt as quickly for one. But for me the "heavy" rear bias of the "rear" motor cars suits my driving better, I have a better feel of the rear end traction vs. a Mid Motor Car. I think too this has a lot to do with the fact that my Primary Class is 1:8 IC...

Either way my son has take to the mid Motor Car setup lile a fish to water.

Lets see what comes out soon, hopefully before ETS season starts.
