Any news about anything? Are they ever going to release parts to tune this car with? Starting to think I should have passed on this kit.

The thing is... they don't need to sell option parts. Or spares. Or kits. They don't even need to make a profit.

The owner is very wealthy, and runs Infinity for fun. Fair play, I'd do the same thing in his position

But it does mean there's no massive incentive for them to churn out updates like Xray do, who rely 100% on racing to survive.

Agreed. At the worlds last year in Gubbio 1/10 nitro this was abundantly clear. It does make you wander if one day he'll wake up and decide he's gotten bored with the whole thing...

It looks as if the suspension arms, c-hubs, steering blocks, rear uprights, ball cup ends, rollbar system and shock towers are the same as the ARC R11. I drove the R11 for 2 years and very familiar with that chassis. You need spare composites you can purchase ARC... I could be wrong however.

Oh, I don't think Hudy (X-ray) is hard up for money. Have you seen there racing facility? The thing is like a palace that a prince would race at.

Shock towers and sway bars (but should be the same size) are not ARC parts.

Parts that have a direct ARC replacement:
Arms
Steering Blocks
Caster Blocks
Rear Uprights
Diff
Spool and Outdrives
Rear Belt
Axles and Joints (not dog bones)
Shocks
Servo Horn
Steering Arms
Ball Joints
C Caps
Spur Axle
Steering Plate
Sway Bar Holders (possibly, looks like there could have been a running change)

Yes, I've raced there a couple of times. It's an impressive facility. But if they stop selling race stuff, they can't repay the loans and they're done. There's no billionaire supporting them. So you can guarantee regular updates to all of their cars.

From what I understand, Hudy, Xray etc. is subsidized by the Slovakian government.

Yes, couldn't believe it once I saw it. Be sweet if someone made that type of adjustments with a servo saver to.

At ETS in the hudy arena a friend of mine build it out of the box on friday during rain and he ran it on saturday , no options just strait out of the box .
made a copy on the IF14 from his xray T4 .
he ran the IF14 and was faster and had so much more steering (out of the box)
Toni, marc is brother ran the IF14 as well out of the box only the Alu spool outdrives and xray low friction belts . nothing more...
as you can see on RedRC the car of Naoto Matsukura looked a lot sharper as the car from alexander.

to some comments made about the guy ... kenji for sure has money....
But you really think he pays all world class drivers in 2 classes just for fun ?
the made a company like all others do to get profit in the end even if he does not need to .

At ETS Madrid i had a talk with jilles about the brand and the plans of it .
For sure they will not leave soon.
They want and will make a competitive car to the xray T4 with the same level of quality and so on.

further more ... no new chassis wil come out soon .
Some minor updates yes... so do other brands...

About the arc plastics ... Infinity will make plastics of them selves ETA not know at the moment .
ARC plastics are really good so ... in my opinion a good thing to use.
Its not a bad thing for a brand to use other brand parts to have a good parts supply and make beter or same quality plastics ....

infinity did take over smj , mad some changes , is new in the market and has shown some strengt... what you want to see more from a new company ?
the only + they have is endles money... but yes its highly competitive as sown at the last few rounds of ETS
