I just purchased some Yokomo springs for my cars. I bought pink, purple, blue, and black. I know everyone prodominately runs pink/blue. I know the order of stiffness. What I can't find difinetivley (I've googled and get different rates for the same spring) are the actual spring rates. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to knowing this. I would also like them so I can swap out my current spring with the closest comparable Yokomo Spring. Could anyone help me out?

One thing to consider with yokomo springs is that while some may have a similar rate to others, they have a significantly different feel on track because of the wire used and coil pattern.

I've looked through that list, it's missing the Yok purple and I was wondering the accuracy of that list since there are 2 springs between the Yok pink and blue

I've measured the purple before and its exactly the same as a pink regardless of what yokomo claims.

The two between pink and blue are yellow and purple. The yellow is in that list but is not placed between because the real world testing showed that it is in fact stiffer than the pink. The yellow having significantly less coils making it much less progressive than the pink. The purple will have a nearly identical rate (maybe slightly softer or more progressive) to the pink as it is the same wire thickness but 0.25 coils more than the pink(6.75 vs 6.5 coils).

Have you tried hpi silvers yet? I switched to these on my 17.5 car and they worked better than the yok blue/blue I had been using.

Keep in mind, the Petitrc chart was made in 2008. Some of the current springs weren't even being manufactured at that time. That chart can help but can be confusing as well. Take the Yokomo purples for example, if you look at the chart you will see yokomo purples with a high spring rate. Those are not the current Yokomo purples that are part of the (L) series.

They are not actually the same
Feel very close, in fact I find it's interesting how close many springs are in rating, but feel so different on the track

.25 turn difference between Purple & Pink springs

They don't look the same because purple has .25 more coil like you said but the spring tester says they are the same rate.

.25 turn difference is going to require a very accurate tool to measure

Guys are there typical progressive and linear spring mixes used? For example: Yokomo Pink (progressive) front and HPI Silver (linear) rear
