I think the 30 minute runtimes on this motor have burnt out the motor and it is just a coincidence that the motor has failed when you installed the 4200 packs.

Try another or new motor and see what happens.

Measure the comm on the motor, its probably thrown a plate, which cause a winding to smoke......

Your motor probably would of died off a watch battery at that point....

And if yer getting 30 minutes of run time with a 3600 and a 19t.....yer geared very very badly.....

2 mins into it smoke from the engine and then it all shut down.
Maybe you should try a different tuned pipe and check your head temp so it wont shut down

like someone posted before. try a new motor. I know you changed the brushes but that is only one part of the maintenance. Brushed motors are not meant to be used for 30 min. I'm pretty sure it was your motor that was already shot. If you want to run for 30 min i suggest using a brushless system.

I suggest a moderator to lock this thread as the new 4200mah and 4300mah batteries will never be the root cause of motor problems.

I want some of those 3300's you have, what are they?
I can only get 28min of run time out of my Tamiya Mini Cooper, silver can motor and all.
