Toughest, fairly new 1/12th pan car?
Not the best reflexes, anything particularly stronger than others? My 1/12th stuff isn't going to sell. My only criteria is the Futaba S9650 Servo fits it. I hear you can get into drilling new holes into a chassis for servo offsets. I want to avoid that.

I currently run the TOP cars in both stock and mod. They are pretty durable. But out of every brand of chassis I have run when it comes to durability XRay is always the first one that comes to mind. I have ran the xray 1/12 scales. They are on the heavy side for a chassis, but they are also tanks.

I've found the CRC WC to be pretty durable. One of the nice things about the CRC is when it does break the parts are plentiful and relatively cheap compared to most other brands. With my Schumacher Eclipse, if I destroy an upper arm on one side I'm out $10 for an entire front-end plastics parts tree. With the CRC, that same mistake runs me about $4 for an upper and lower arm that work on either side of the car.

X-ray is good car also but front end gets sloppy is what I hear The 9650 fits the Roche I don't think will in crc without drilling not sure about others |
You'll hear and read plenty of opinions and most all of today's top shelf 1/12th scale are really good. But here are 3 facts about CRC cars that are undeniable. #1 - the CRC is signicantly less expensive than any of the other current cars. #2 - CRCs parts are also reasonably priced and the supply and technical support are excellent. And #3 - For way more than a decade CRC drivers have been demonstrating how good the CRC product really is by winning all manner of club events and major races all around the country and the world.

If your looking for a brick that's hard to break the crc is you best choice, parts are cheap and plentiful. Anything based on the associated r5 platform is easy to find parts for if you know what your looking for. I race a rsd rr12t2 myself but do have a crc to beat on.

CRC or Roche, IMO. Cheap parts are an awesome thing!

If your a decent driver however I was it and was tired of rebuilding the front end after everyone and buying the parts. Personally I didn't find it to withstand the abuse.
I would say give a Roche p12 a try it uses xenon frontend and is quality I didn't break anything until I ran a 6.5 in it. I have bent aluminum piece and broke a carbon upper pod plate but because some screw loose X-ray is good car also but front end gets sloppy is what I hear The 9650 fits the Roche I don't think will in crc without drilling not sure about others |
i cant say that CRC is the best as that's the only chassis i've run, but i LOVE my CRC. only chassis that's made me consider leaving CRC is the Roche. The Roche, even in horrible driver's hands was the best driving 12th ive seen run. but like was said CRC you can get parts from almost anywhere. i bought mine used about 2 years ago and have only broken it twice, both was my fault, althought the second time was more track borders than my driving.
if i were to recommend a 12th to you and that's always competitive no matter what's new on the market, i'd say CRC |

And can the 2016 be upgraded? I should have kept my S120 LTR. If you guys/gals knew what I sold it for, brand new/sealed, you'd die. |
one of the great local 12th scale racers i know got the yokomo chassis and took him a while to figure that thing out, so i cant cosign the yrx12.
as far as the P12 2017, i believe it's a lower rear pod a change in the tweak plate and some kind of change with the floating servo. from what i see though, not many can tell differences in it unless you're one of the fast guys |

i'd go CRC, but i'm kind of biased. however everything i've read CRC is always the easiest and most consistent to work with.
