Default Just got the new Fantom v2 Motor, have some questions

Anyone else purchase a fr1 v2 from Fantom yet? I received my motor today and noticed there is a white piece of plastic sitting between the solder tabs and the sensor assembly. I have no idea why it is there. Help!

That piece of plastic is a insulator between the stator and sensor retaining ring.

There is possibility of the phase terminals temporarily shorting on the timing ring which will cause the motor to run slow or worst case, blow the speed control. This can happen when running on clockwise tracks where you could hit the outer wal and the terminals can potentially shift.

Best to leave it in.

Yes that is exactly it. My previous motors didn't have them or weren't visible (R1, Reedy, Trackstar).

I run my v1 at 7.8amps.... 140F to 160F all day with a fan connected to the receiver. I will try to connect the fan directly to the battery.....

What is the timing set on the new motor compared to the old?
