Default novak smart tray question

just got my novack smart tray and a queston or two.
1. i have saddle that i can not line up the battery bars the way the diagram says to. is this going to be a problem?
and the second is: should the lights stay on when the pack is installed correctly or when it is done discharging/equalizing?
thanks for the help.

Not sure what you mean about not lining up right but they do have to have the correct polority. After installing the pack, you push the start button & the lights come on & go off as each cell is discharged.

i lined up the polarity the way it says, but it also says there should be three battery bars along the top and two along the bottom. and on the other question, i push the button and the lights come on then immediatly go out. i discharged the pack first with an ice charger at 10a if this makes a difference.

I don't see how you would have a problem with any type of saddle packs. If the negative tab is on the lower left and the positive is on the lower right then you should not have a problem. Remember the jumper wire for the saddle packs is a battery bar so everything will work.

IF you push the button and the lights go on and then off then all that batteries are below the cutoff voltage that you have the tray set at. I don't know any of the features of the Ice but the discharge cutoff should be set at 5.40 as a 6-cell pack or 3.60 as a 4-cell pack.

It just won't start discharging them, I think it will say "RP" for reversed polarity or something to that extent, but I know it won't start.
