Features:
Fully Adjustable Upper Suspension Arms, adjustable camber and caster without changing parts.
Servo Mount integrated into the front bulkhead, resulting in the mass concentrated near the center of the chassis providing excellent balance
C-Hub less design means less parts to keep and able to achieve a large enough steering angle for RWD drifting.
1/10 Touring Car Sized Differentials, providing excellent on-power grip and consistent acceleration.
Carbon Fiber Lower Arms, provides the perfect balance between lightweight and strength.
Parallel Topdeck for high on-power grip towards the rear wheels.
One piece motor mount and rear bulkhead, reducing the flex caused by high powered brushless motors and LiPo battery. Which in turn will increase the on power grip generated by the chassis.
Adjustable battery mount for both regular and shorty packs.
Features two battery positions,
Carbon Fiber Gyro Mount near the rear for controlled RWD drifting.
116T 64p Spur included, a 50T 64p Pinion for On-Road Racing and a 22t 64p Pinion for Drifting is recommended when using a 13.5t Motor in blinky (0 timing and turbo) ESC mode.

Xpresso M1

This car is a nightmare to set up for racing.

Anybody have any experiences to share with this kit? Like how it handles and what you have driven on it

I would love to hear some on this one too.

I have the K1 which basically is the M1 shrunken down. As others have mentioned, setting up this car is a huge pain with dual upper link which is responsible for the camber and caster and with the included ARS in the rear, be prepared to spend some time on the setup station. And with all these ball and socket links it is a major pain to dial in your setting since there are so much slop and play in the suspension. When you eventually think you got the right setting, the setting might be all out of whack just after one run on the track unless you manage not to hit anything. Things break very easily on this car as the plastics in this car is very fragile. The included plastic pulley is a joke and the set screw easily strips on the plastic.

Handling wise it's alright. But it being a RWD it's prone to oversteer out of turns and can't carry that much speed in the turns. I eventually sold my k1 since I was the only one with the car and I can't deal with parts constantly breaking.

Although I appreciate xpress in coming up with a pretty interesting design, it will always be a niche market and can't see it pick up any traction in the future.

Thanks for that review. I was just about to order one!

Despite what seems like a difficult and tricky car as Ive heard, I’m going to give this car a shot on american black carpet racing for 2018. I’m mid way through the build and am fasinated by the design. Being RWD I’m gonna try to tune it with a mix of my experiences in FWD mini and F1 RWD

Prior to starting, I purchased the kit with all of the most common parts that Ive researched to commonly break
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...5d90b9f2c.jpeg
I also made sure to buy some aluminum hop ups for the pulley and pulley shaft seeing as how that was a common part to strip out
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...228f89223.jpeg

One of the future fun challenges is going to be how to place the electronics. This car has alot of room for several layouts of how to fit everything. Being that black carpet racing at my local club is clockwise, going to try a layout with the battery on the right side
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...2cfcb3b85.jpeg
Noteably, building the 12 turnbuckles has proven challenging, but with easier with a caliper and a nose needle bent plier

So going to try a touring car layout style which on this m1 kit is actually really well balanced left to right and the center of gravity is on the middle adjacent to the esc.

Fortunately, the kit comes with ready to bolt on alternative composite battery holders
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8a31d6ae9.jpeg
What’s nice about this kit is that the chassis has battery tape holes already predrilled in the direction I need, though I did need to sand off the pieces a little bit for my chubby short lipo battery

Day one of winter testing for the Xpresso M1. To evaluate this car, I’ll be comparing it to my tamiya m07. Both cars will be running the same tires, esc, car setup, battery, servo and motor.
https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...8d953a453.jpeg
The only differences for this test are fwd to rwd, chassis & body (due to wheelbase differences).
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...6c7af4b15.jpeg
The test track is a high grip mid-technical carpet track in cold weather, so there will be plenty of grip and probably some traction rolls as well, so both cars front tires sidewalls are glued.

Amazingly, the Xpresso M1 handled very well and was very slow with the stock gearing down the main straightaway. So I geared it up to 3.625 and then the car really shinned. It then was able to almost match my long time true tested winning Tamiya M07. With the M1 clocking in at 12.5 and the M07 at 12.4 on the scoreboard.

This was a very delightfull first run of the car and with no breakdowns on the M1. I will be making some changes later but overall, a great start on carpet for this car.

It works pretty well, notably in this configuration, the battery does not scrape the ground and scrub off speed. So everything is nicely tucked inside.

Any update about this chassis? Are the layshaft and diff compatible with xq1? Any fragile areas from the car?

Only the bumper mounts and body posts are usable on the XQ1.
