Well I can tell you for sure that it's the same time every year which is Memorial Day weekend. This would be Sat. and Sunday before Memorial Day.
This year it's the 27th and 28th of May. The Tamiya track will be open for controlled practice Thursday and Friday.
The track usually opens around 8:00 am and closes at 5:00 p.m for the two day practice then Sat. and Sunday the track will open around 7:00 am.
Tamiya puts on a first class race including the one and only Scotty Earnst as the man who runs the race from start to finish. He runs a tight ship and his reputation is internationally recognized!
If you want to get in you'll have to go through the lottery system that Tamiya uses to make the registration fair. It's announced usually a month in advance and you fill out the form and send the fee. Then at some point.................well........................ well....................... at some point usually days before the race they pick the lucky winners and then your off to the races!
What can I say, it takes a lot of luck to get in but after all that it's fun for all!!
