Default jaco 2 stage foam question

i just got my first 2 stage tires from Jaco. i got 12th scale tires. i am looking at the tires and i see the two different layers. my question is once you wear through the first layer do you have to toss the tires out? is the car going to handle differently once you wear into the last layer?

Yes, after the outer layer is gone, they are basically done.

wow that sucks... the front tires trued down and ran a few times at basically amost the 2nd layer. that is some bull because the tires seriously only have 6 full runs on them. its like you dont want to true them down at all if you dont want to go through 20 bucks a day in tires.

With the 2-stage tires you don't need to true them down as low as you normally would with regular tires.

I believe this was discused at lengthin the "Jaco Tire News" thread

I used them tires, garbage...they cracked easily. Soon as the first layer was gone, the tires were gone.

The top layer of the tire is the only one intended for use.

I've been running the 2-stages and they feel fantastic on our track. They will not necessarily be the tire for all trackas or conditions, so use your discretion.

I do still also keep regular single stage dbl pink and dbl pink/orange tires on hand in case conditions change..
