But everything from hobbyking, don't think you would regret it. I have bought esc, motor, batterys from them and they are top products. I won a whole indoor season championship with these things.

The car they sell is great too, dont think you will get away any cheaper than this! Good luck and i think you will get surprised how good the hobbyking stuff are!

However many teeth on your spur divide it by 2 and use that pinion.

Spur90/45 pinion
Spur96/48 pinion
Spur100/50 pinion

Should be a good starting point, if its too slow, go up a tooth or 2 on the pinion.

as far as final drive goes I think 1 pinion gear tooth =~4 spur gear teeth meaning going up 4 on the spur would give you about the same adjustment as going up 1 on the pinion if you don't change the other gear.
