Default LRP VTEC TIRES

Hi All,
In Italy our federation have choosen the VTEC tires as control tires for 2006 touring season.

So I would like to know what you think about this tires, exspecially for the asphalt/outdoor use.

There are two or three different compounds, I think 24, 27, and 30 - which one are you using? I'd imagine they work as well as similarly rated HPI/Sorex, etc. compounds, at the moment I have a little experience with them on carpet but none on asphalt so I can't help you too much I'm afraid.

we have found them to be good long wear indoor tyres with consistant grip level through out the run, the don't go of like cs22s and don't take as much time to warm up as sorex24 r, Is they behave like this on carpet they should be better on asphalt but wear more than indoor use.

Hey Giuseppe.

Our federation also decided to use those VTEC 27R tires season 2006. We`ll start our indoor championship series end of this mounth and some testing has already done.

That tire is good to drive and it not wear so quickly and no re-clued so far

No crash. Rim and inserts are still fine.
The belt on the insert of tire (correct english word?) is torn.

I don't know why this happened, never happened with Sorex or TakeOff before.
The laptimes were quite good just got a bit slower after around 5 runs.

Cheers
